Designed for professional print environments, HP Coated Paper - 36"x300' delivers exceptional color accuracy and reliable handling right off the printer. This coated media is ideal for color-accurate everyday prints, working comps, and design proofs, helping teams move quickly from concept to presentation. The combination of a coated surface with HP engineering ensures vivid color reproduction, crisp detail, and smooth gradients, enabling proofing accuracy that partners with color-management workflows. Its standout handleability means time-sensitive documents can be rolled or stacked as soon as they exit the printer, reducing downtime and speeding up reviews. With a wide 36-inch width and a generous 300-foot length, it is built for high-volume projects, making it a versatile choice for studios, marketing departments, and print shops that demand both quality and productivity. This media balances performance and practicality for a range of wide-format applications, from marketing proofs to internal comps, all while maintaining consistent results across runs and days.

  • Color-accurate results across workflows: The coated surface and optimized ink interaction deliver consistent color density for proofs, comps, and marketing materials, helping your team maintain brand fidelity from first draft to final approval. Designed to work with calibrated workflows and color-managed printers, it minimizes color shifts between proof and production, reducing the need for reprints and accelerating decision cycles.
  • Sharp detail and smooth gradients: The coated finish enhances sharpness in text, line art, and photographic elements, delivering clean halftones and well-defined edges. With reduced feathering and improved ink control, this media preserves subtle tonal variations and color transitions, making it ideal for technical diagrams, product visuals, and presentation-grade proofs.
  • Exceptional handleability for rapid turnaround: HP Coated Paper is engineered for easy post-print handling, enabling you to roll or stack documents immediately after output. The coating helps resist curl and minimizes sticking, supporting efficient workflows in proofing and review stages where time is of the essence. This reliability translates to faster approvals, fewer interruptions, and smoother project progression.
  • Broad applicability and versatility: From design proofs and working comps to color charts, charts, and client-ready presentations, this coated paper performs across a wide range of uses. Its robust 36" x 300' roll format is well-suited for large-format printers and extended print runs, helping teams manage high-volume jobs without compromising color accuracy or surface quality.
  • Cost-conscious, high-volume media: The lengthy 300-foot roll reduces the frequency of media changes, decreasing downtime and labor costs in busy environments. Combined with dependable color output and handling, this media delivers a favorable cost-per-sheet for large proof sets, marketing catalogs, or multi-page client boards, making it a practical choice for studios and production teams aiming to improve throughput and profitability.

How to install HP Coated Paper

Loading and using HP Coated Paper is straightforward since this is a roll media designed for wide-format printers. Follow these steps to ensure optimal results and a smooth workflow:

  • Prepare the printer: Confirm that the printer is configured for coated paper media and that color-management profiles are calibrated for accurate output. Ensure the print driver or RIP is set to the appropriate coated-paper media type to maximize color fidelity and ink control.
  • Load the roll: Place the 36" wide roll into the printer’s media path, aligning the roll with the guides and ensuring the leading edge is straight and free of curls. Feed the media carefully to prevent skew and verify tension for consistent feeding across long runs.
  • Set printing parameters: In your printer driver or RIP, select coated paper as the media type, choose the highest practical print quality for proofs and comps, and adjust ink density if needed to maintain color balance across the job. Enable any proofing profiles if your workflow requires precise color matching.
  • Execute a test run: Print a small test sheet to verify alignment, color accuracy, and surface handling. Inspect for any curl, misfeeds, or color shifts and make necessary adjustments before proceeding with full-length prints.
  • Handle outputs properly: Allow prints to dry fully before stacking or rolling. Use appropriate storage to avoid humidity exposure and direct sunlight, which can affect color stability and surface finish. Roll or lay flat as dictated by your project workflow to preserve surface quality.

Replacement stickers are on the way!!
Color: silver, Color: silver
Edit: Customer service was lovely and I have replacement stickers on the way. This fabulous product has helped me so much and I can't be without it. Back up to a 5 star review. I purchased this product in April 2024. The stickers that help the laptop 'grab' onto the stand are either gone or unstable. See picture below. Can it be repaired with new stickers? How do I get them?

Sixty Bucks? Yep. And I'd buy another one.
Color: silver
OK, I had my doubts. Yes, the iLevel2 is highly-reviewed. And yes, it's really (really) important to have your laptop screen at eye level (get it? iLevel?) But spending 60 dollars on an adjustable laptop stand? Couldn't I just pile up a couple of old books for free? Well, as a contractor once told me when I made a really dumb suggestion, "You COULD do it that way..." The iLevel2's main virtue is that the angle/height adjustment knob is rock-solid, as is the platform. It's just an extremely well-made, solid product. And the adjustment knob, which is on a left-right track on the front of the product, allows you to dial in your laptop's screen height to the millimeter. Result: a totally-custom, ergonomically-friendly setup. Love it.

Underwhelming
Color: silver
Too much hype. It just holds the laptop. Buy something cheaper. The slide adjuster isn’t useful to me at all.

Useful but not perfect
Color: silver
Useful, but typing with laptop perched on it is unsteady. I use a separate keyboard.

Why are people trying to type on a laptop stand?
Color: silver
So the overwhelmingly negative reviews you'll notice for this product specifically surround the "bounciness" of this stand when someone is typing on it—however what is confusing to me is how people are purchasing a laptop stand in theory to optimize their ergonomics, yet also stretching their arms out and elevating them to type on said laptop once it's raised. the point of a laptop riser/stand is to elevate the screen so that you can maintain a more natural posture. One would assume you have an external keyboard to use in conjunction with your laptop once you place it on a RISER, because the idea is to elevate your laptop as a SCREEN and then have a level/flat surface to type on, thereby alleviating any awkward hunching or neck strain looking down or anywhere not naturally eye-level. as it is, it's a perfectly functional and elegant laptop riser. I don't find myself wanting to adjust the height often if ever, but in the one or two instances I experimented with it, found no mechanical issues. It looks nice with Apple hardware and allows me to have my laptop's screen flush with the bottom edge of my additional external monitor, so it serves my purposes well. for people complaining about how it bounces when they type on it ... STOP typing on your laptop's keyboard when you have it elevated on a riser! this defeats the purpose and probably also makes your arms tired—buy an external keyboard!
