Elevate your server storage with Cisco's 3.80 TB Solid State Drive, a high-capacity, enterprise-grade solution engineered for reliability, efficiency, and scalable performance. This 2.5-inch internal SSD uses a SATA/600 interface to deliver consistent data access, lower latency, and improved I/O responsiveness in dense server environments. Designed for data centers, virtualization platforms, and mission-critical workloads, this drive provides a robust foundation for storing vast libraries of documents, images, videos, and application data without compromising on speed or durability.

One of the standout advantages of this Cisco SSD is its endurance and endurance metric 1 DWPD (drive writes per day). In practical terms, that means the drive is designed to withstand daily heavy write workloads typical of enterprise servers, ensuring long-term reliability even under sustained use. This endurance, combined with Cisco's firmware optimizations, wear leveling, and error correction capabilities, helps protect data integrity and maximize drive longevity across the data center. The drive's power-efficient design contributes to lower energy consumption per terabyte stored, reducing cooling load and total cost of ownership—critical factors in modern server deployments.

Solid-state architecture means faster access times, lower latency, and improved IOPS under multi-user workloads compared to traditional spinning disks. With no moving parts, the drive is more resistant to shock and vibration, an important consideration in dense data center racks and remote locations. The device uses wear leveling, bad block management, and error correction to maintain data integrity over time, delivering consistent performance as the drive wears in. Cisco's firmware is designed to optimize thermal behavior, helping to sustain throughput under sustained load while maintaining reliability. This combination of high capacity, solid reliability, and energy efficiency makes it a compelling choice for IT teams pursuing higher storage density without sacrificing performance or uptime.

  • Massive capacity in a compact 2.5" form factor: 3.80 TB of flash storage provides ample space for operating systems, databases, virtual machines, and media assets, enabling you to consolidate workloads and simplify data management.
  • Enterprise-grade reliability for servers: Built to operate in server environments with optimized firmware, robust ECC, and wear-leveling to deliver consistent performance and data integrity over time.
  • High-speed SATA/600 interface: SATA III (SATA/600) delivers up to 6 Gbps of data transfer, enabling responsive reads and writes for demanding applications and virtualization workloads.
  • 1 DWPD endurance for sustained workloads: Designed to endure daily writes at scale, making it suitable for write-intensive applications and databases in the data center.
  • Energy-efficient operation for lower TCO: Power-conscious design reduces energy consumption and heat output, helping you lower cooling costs and extend hardware life in rack environments.

How to Install Cisco 3.80 TB Solid State Drive

Installing this 2.5" SATA SSD into a compatible server is straightforward and designed to minimize downtime. Before you begin, ensure you have the appropriate screws for mounting the drive into a 2.5" drive bay or a suitable adaptor in your server chassis. Follow these steps to ensure a secure and reliable installation:

  • Power down your server and unplug all power cables. Ground yourself to avoid electrostatic discharge (ESD) that could damage sensitive electronics.
  • Open the server chassis and locate an available 2.5" drive bay or install a compatible adapter for 2.5" to 3.5" bays if needed.
  • Insert the Cisco 3.80 TB SSD into the drive bay, aligning the connector and mounting holes with the chassis. Use the appropriate screws to secure the drive firmly while avoiding overtightening.
  • Connect the SATA data cable and the SATA power cable to the drive. Route cables to minimize obstructing airflow and ensure proper cable management inside the chassis.
  • Power on the server and enter the system BIOS or RAID controller utility. Confirm that the new drive appears in the storage list, then proceed with initializing, formatting, or integrating the drive into your storage pool as required by your operating system or virtualization platform.
  • Update firmware if a newer version is available and verify SMART attributes and health monitoring after installation to ensure optimal operation and early detection of any potential issues.

Replacement stickers are on the way!!
Color: silver, Color: silver
Edit: Customer service was lovely and I have replacement stickers on the way. This fabulous product has helped me so much and I can't be without it. Back up to a 5 star review. I purchased this product in April 2024. The stickers that help the laptop 'grab' onto the stand are either gone or unstable. See picture below. Can it be repaired with new stickers? How do I get them?

Sixty Bucks? Yep. And I'd buy another one.
Color: silver
OK, I had my doubts. Yes, the iLevel2 is highly-reviewed. And yes, it's really (really) important to have your laptop screen at eye level (get it? iLevel?) But spending 60 dollars on an adjustable laptop stand? Couldn't I just pile up a couple of old books for free? Well, as a contractor once told me when I made a really dumb suggestion, "You COULD do it that way..." The iLevel2's main virtue is that the angle/height adjustment knob is rock-solid, as is the platform. It's just an extremely well-made, solid product. And the adjustment knob, which is on a left-right track on the front of the product, allows you to dial in your laptop's screen height to the millimeter. Result: a totally-custom, ergonomically-friendly setup. Love it.

Underwhelming
Color: silver
Too much hype. It just holds the laptop. Buy something cheaper. The slide adjuster isn’t useful to me at all.

Useful but not perfect
Color: silver
Useful, but typing with laptop perched on it is unsteady. I use a separate keyboard.

Why are people trying to type on a laptop stand?
Color: silver
So the overwhelmingly negative reviews you'll notice for this product specifically surround the "bounciness" of this stand when someone is typing on it—however what is confusing to me is how people are purchasing a laptop stand in theory to optimize their ergonomics, yet also stretching their arms out and elevating them to type on said laptop once it's raised. the point of a laptop riser/stand is to elevate the screen so that you can maintain a more natural posture. One would assume you have an external keyboard to use in conjunction with your laptop once you place it on a RISER, because the idea is to elevate your laptop as a SCREEN and then have a level/flat surface to type on, thereby alleviating any awkward hunching or neck strain looking down or anywhere not naturally eye-level. as it is, it's a perfectly functional and elegant laptop riser. I don't find myself wanting to adjust the height often if ever, but in the one or two instances I experimented with it, found no mechanical issues. It looks nice with Apple hardware and allows me to have my laptop's screen flush with the bottom edge of my additional external monitor, so it serves my purposes well. for people complaining about how it bounces when they type on it ... STOP typing on your laptop's keyboard when you have it elevated on a riser! this defeats the purpose and probably also makes your arms tired—buy an external keyboard!
