Inspired by Edgar Allen Poe's immortal poem, it speaks to the seemingly inescapable sorrow of loss - the echo of footsteps in an empty hall, the flutter of wings in a silence too deep to name.

It begins with bright notes of bergamot and lemon, sharp as a sudden knock upon the door, and fades into a heart of black tea, black currant, and lavender - heavy with lament and unshed tears. Teakwood, leather, cedar, sandalwood, dark musk, and patchouli conjure the scent of timeworn pages, cracked bindings, and neglected rooms. From unseen corners, clove and maple curl like smoke around words unspoken. Vetiver, amber, musk, smoke, and embers smolder beneath - like ashes glowing faintly in the dark.
