Introducing the Percussion Plus Ghanaian djembe 15 player pack for primary education

These Ghanaian djembe packs from Percussion Plus are the best way to buy traditionally made African drums for larger groups of players in primary settings. Hand carved from solid, chunky African cedar wood, they encourage a warm and powerful sound with a great projection. These drums are ideal for performances in any venue - even outdoors!

The traditional goatskin head helps to create a beautiful, complex tone and is also extremely durable, letting you really go for it during a performance or practice session without breakage concerns. They are rope tuned for increased accuracy and double stringed for impressively stable tuning. Also included is a rope handle for easy transportation.

To complete the education experience, each pack is supplied with a teaching guide from world percussion and education expert, Andy Gleadhill. ‘African Drumming Book 1’ will take you from learning basic tones to playing a tune in no time, giving you all the tools you need to create the best experience for your djembe group.

Three drum sizes in each pack

Each pack features three sizes of djembe to play the low, medium, and high parts of any African drumming piece. This primary pack has 3 x 9" djembes, 5 x 8", and 7 x 7" drums – perfect for younger players. For a set of more djembes, check out the 30 pack, or for a selection of our larger drums take a look at the secondary pack of 15.

A traditional design

Using traditional materials and methods, this djembe is rope-tuned for easy adjustment. The double stringed design means that it stays in tune for longer than a single-stringed djembe. Intricate patterns and designs are hand-carved and painted on every djembe for a traditional finish, unique to each drum, presenting a truly authentic charm.
