Unlock the compelling narrative presented in *Where Are the Women Architects?*, a groundbreaking book by Despina Stratigakos. This enlightening read delves into the underrepresentation of women in architecture, a field that has seen a significant increase in female enrollment in recent decades but still struggles with gender equity. With an ISBN of 9780691170138, this brand-new edition from Princeton University Press comes with flaps and was published in 2016, making it a contemporary staple for architecture enthusiasts and feminists alike.Exploring the historical context, the book reveals how women have long been sidelined in a male-dominated profession, despite their passion and talent. Stratigakos investigates why barriers remain, comparing architecture to other male-dominated fields like law and medicine, where women fare better. The book serves as both a critique of past injustices and a beacon of hope, highlighting the emergence of activists challenging this status quo.
Through inspiring stories of collaboration and advocacy, *Where Are the Women Architects?* not only documents the struggles faced by women in architecture but also showcases their vibrant contributions and efforts to reshape the narrative. This insightful book is a must-read for anyone interested in gender equity in design, architecture, or social justice. Discover how today’s advocates are not only fighting for recognition but also fostering change within the profession. Whether you're an academic, a student, or simply curious about the evolution of architecture, this book promises to broaden your understanding and inspire future generations of women architects.

Great Looking Lightweight Golf Pants
Color: Khaki, Size: 38W x 32L, Color: Khaki, Size: 38W x 32L
This is a great looking pair of lightweight golf pants from M MAELREG.
They’re tailored from a Polyester and Spandex blend (94% - 6%) in an attractive weave. I selected the Khaki version and the pants are lightweight, very comfortable and fit true to size.
They have a button and zipper fly closure with a silicone ‘gripper’ on the inside waistband, which helps hold the pants in place if you decide not to wear a belt. But if you do wear a belt, the pants have 6 total belt loops, including a pair at the rear (often not found on many pants today).
They have 2 front pockets and a hidden pocket with a zipper closure on the right side. The 2 back pockets are stitched shut. Since I rarely use back pockets on any pants or jeans that I wear, that’s not an issue for me. But if you do use them, you’ll need to cut them open yourself. (I would suggest carefully using an X-Acto type knife.)
These versatile pants can be worn dressed up for business attire or down for leisure. (In other words, you don’t have to be a golfer to wear them. LOL!) And the quality, fit and pricing of the pants are comparable to many of the top national brands like Nike, Callaway and PGA Tour.
