Hatsukokoro Kurogane Blue 2 Kurouchi Ko-Bunka 120mm Black ChacateThe Hatsukokoro Kurogane(, Black Iron) can be considered as the Blue 2 version of the popular Kokugei line. Main difference is the core steel is Blue 2 instead of Blue 1, and the slightly blue tint is not present on the Kotetsu, it is just as the name implies, a Kurouchi finished, iron cladding knife. The Hatsukokoro Kurogane(黒鉄, Black Iron) can be considered as the Blue 2 version of the popular Kokugei line. Main difference is the core steel is Blue 2 instead of Blue 1, and the slightly blue tint is not present on the Kotetsu, it is just as the name implies, a Kurouchi finished, iron cladding knife. For the experienced eyes, it won't be hard to tell that this knife is made in the Tosa region. The wild hammer marks can be clearly seen under the rustic black oxidation layer. Although the finish is on the rough side, its performance is still quite decent. The bevel is a slight convex grind, but left with some thickness behind the edge, it won't fly through food like many other knives but once the cut initiates, the very positive food release will help the cut to be smooth. The additional thickness also means the edge is on the stronger side, it can be pushed a bit harder, which kind of fits it purpose as a budget, rough use knife. For the seasoned expert, the iron cladding means the bevel geometry can be modified with relative ease, and the thicker blade can be turned into a thinner one. I shall consider the Kurogane as a interesting brother to the Kokugei line, with their very friendly price and decent maintainability due to the Kurouchi finish, they are both a strong contender for those who are picking their first carbon steel knife. It's a knife that you can really live and explore with, which can be a valuable thing before steeping up to a more demanding and expensive knife.

Truly indestructible!
My 80lb English bulldog, that literally can chew his way through a tree trunk if left to his own devices, has not been able to destroy this toy. Rather, he’s enjoyed chomping on it bc of the scent and heavy weight for more than a year. Good value and will hopefully last many more years.

Nice toy
Flavor Name: Peanut Butter, Size: Large
I bought this toy in L size for my Frenchie cuz he is a hard chewer, and it ended up being too big for him. He seemed to love it though. I’ll reorder a smaller size

The warnings on the box say it's dangerous, the product page said it was safe.
Besides being much smaller than expected, this is from the box: + It's important to select the proper size & type of chew for your dog's age, weight & chewing strength. - "The Amazon page says it's 'Safe for All Dog Sizes.'" + Always supervise the use of all chews & toys - "The Amazon page says 'a safe alternative to edible chews when you can’t be home.'" + Product is not intended to be eaten or ingested. If you think your dog swallowed a piece, take the product away and contact your veterinarian. - "The Amazon page says it 'provides a safer alternative to real sticks. Safe non-toxic. A safe alternative to edible chews when you can’t be home." I've been disappointed by Amazon purchases before, but this is the first negative review I've written because this thing seems dangerous for dogs. I would report it to Amazon, but I can't figure out how.

It's not for aggressive chewers.
Flavor Name: Peanut Butter, Size: Large
The bone looks solid except for the brown strip wrapped around it. My dog chewed a piece of it off and tried to swallow them. I had to pull two strips of hard plastic out of his mouth. I threw the bone away.
