On the front side of the guide, a metal plate keeps cuts and fingers protected for a a quick and easy job.  

The guide's metal plates adjust up and down for clean right-angled (90°) cuts whether the user is right-handed and left-handed.  The guide's bottom notch creates support and stability on round rods and branches. 

For sawing, the guide can be fixed with included vice or strap.
