Everything on winemaker Géza Galán’s small plot in Mohács, in the south of Hungary, is farmed according to biodynamic principles and in the cellar everything is done by hand.
Kert means garden in Hungarian, and this field blend red is a feast of fresh red and black berry notes, with hints of pepper and earth. Extremely drinkable yet complex, it comprises 60% Blaufrankisch whole-bunch fermented for 10 days, complemented by Cabernet and Merlot and a pinch of direct-pressed Kadarka and Hárslevelu. The juice ages for eight months before it is bottled without fining, filtration or the addition of sulphites.
