The Martin Auditorium (also known as 000) body is a 6-string staple, featured throughout all walks of music for the past two centuries— this Martin showcases exactly why that is. Featuring a Bearclaw Sitka spruce top that showcases a unique ripple provided only by nature, the body's top is finished with a gorgeous Ambertone, creating a slight burst to the Sitka spruce, which normally offers a simpler appearance. The top is paired to a sinker mahogany back and sides, with the wood grain of the mahogany being put on full display on the rear of the guitar's body, with two bookmatched halves highlighting the beauty of this wood and reminding why it's such a popular choice of tone wood, without even needing to hear a note. When the spruce top and sinker mahogany back and sides are combined, this Auditorium body guitar delivers a unique appearance and fundamental warmth and resonance delivered by only a Martin guitar.
A Modified Low Oval neck profile with High Performance Taper is featured on this custom shop build: this specification has been remarkably favored by many players, and will certainly appeal to those seeking a balance between comfort and playability in an acoustic guitar neck profile. On the neck, an ebony fingerboard matches the dark appearance of its surroundings, adding a slight symmetry to the instrument. The fingerboard, although featuring a total of 20 frets, offers access to 14 of them, which feature Old 18 Style abalone inlays between them. The fingerboard's radius is 16", and the total scale length of this instrument is 24.9".
