The transparent Pichet Petit Avec Anse (small pitcher with handle) is made by La Soufflerie in Paris from 100% mouth blown recycled glass with a lower rounded body and a long, wide neck. The big handle and pouring spout make it easy to pour your favourite drinks.

Made entirely made by hand, each item is unique. There may be a slight variation in colour, texture, and size between each piece.  On the base of each item, you can feel the pontil mark left by the glassblower’s cane indicating that the glass was blown freehand.  This traditional handblown glass may contain air bubbles, sharp edges and scorch marks due to the experimental process of creation. The pieces may also contain scratches or marks from tools used in the smelter.

La Soufflerie is a French non-profit, family owned and operated association, that aims to preserve the timeless art of glassblowing.  Using only 100% recycled glass, each piece is mouthblown by an expert glassblowing craftsperson in their Paris studio workshop before being transported to Delph, England to wait for a new home.

• Hand-blown using only recycled glass.
• Approximately 16-17cm high and 10-11cm wide.
• Size & shape will vary (approximately 1cm-2cm) from piece to piece.
• Each order is hand-washed, wrapped, and packaged with care.

A wonderful telling of history.
Format: Kindle
A wonderful telling of history by an enjoyable author. It isn't light reading per se but if you want a read that will enhance your understanding of the American people this is a good book.

Scholarly and Readable, Too
Format: Paperback
I read the first volume in this series (about the Great Depression), and now I'm in the midst of this one. Kennedy's very-lucid prose keeps the reader moving along, and of course, the sweep of the story he's telling is nearly-irresistible. But in lamer hands, the prose might well have bogged down in turgidity--not so in this case!

Good but not as good
Format: Kindle
Freedom From Fear #1 was one of the most interesting and informational books I've ever read. Part Two was interesting but I did not learn much more about the war than I had known before other than the fact that, while Japan lost the war, Anglo-Saxons are no longer in control in the Far East. I somewhat disagree with his ending ideas about the "good" war, that it wasn't so "good" after all in it's outcome. However, those who fought in it and their families would probably disagree.
