From its home in the northern climes of Asia, rhubarb first came to Europe in classical times as a dried root with medicinal qualities. And it was as medicine that it was initially proposed to a British public. ‘It purifieth the bloud and make yong wenches look faire and cherry-like,’ says Gerard in his Herbal in 1597. It wasn’t until the 18th century that the fruit or vegetable (its true nature was a matter for a lawsuit in America some years ago.) was introduced to English tables. Mary Prior has undertaken an extensive search through earlier literature and presents here a commented repertoire of every sort of rhubarb recipe. Whether with meat or fish, vegetables, as a pudding in its own right, as a jam or in chutney: all sorts of bright ideas are here explained. Given that it is one of the few plants that every gardener can manage to harvest – slug-proof, drought-proof, flood-proof, the lot – that delectable tartness and fresh, roseate pink can ornament the tables of rich man and poor. And, strange to be said, there is nothing more English than rhubarb.Shipping Notes

Best sunscreen
Size: 5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
My family and I use only Blue Lizard sunscreen. We think it's coverage and sun protection works best.

Waterproof
Size: 5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This product is great for kids in the pool or ocean. It is very waterproof and you can even see the water beading on top of the sunscreen. It doesn't go on super clear, which can be an advantage for determining coverage. One other unique feature is the bottle itself changes color to indicate it is currently exposed to UV light although that is basically anytime you walk outside in daytime.

Good sun protection but leaves white streaks after sweating
Size: 5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I really wanted to like this sunscreen after seeing it make a lot of lists for best sunscreen for runners. But for whatever reason, about 15-20 minutes into my runs and I've started really sweating, I see white streaks in my elbow crease. I've started developing weird tan lines in my elbow crease if I don't consciously try to re-rub and re-spread the sunscreen in my elbows periodically during my runs. If I only use the sunscreen for lower impact activities, I don't get the white streaks. It's as if from the sweat it pools the minerals from the sunscreen into my elbow crease. But yet I don't have that problem with the sweat mix with my sunscreen on other parts of my body. I've also switched to Australian Gold Botanical Mineral sunscreen which ironically isn't meant for sports, but I don't have the elbow crease white streaks issue with that sunscreen.
I will say, this Blue Lizard sunscreen does rub and spread easily and doesn't leave a white cast after rubbing it into my skin. Although it does feel mildly greasy after I'm done applying it everywhere. I've switch to Australian Gold Botanical Mineral sunscreen which doesn't feel greasy but it does leave a slight white cast on my tan skin, but I'll rather have that than deal with frequently needing to re-rub/re-spread the sunscreen in my elbow creases when white streaks form.
