This Gibson Custom Shop '58 ES-335, in Murphy Lab Heavy Aged Dirty Blonde, is a guitar that truly makes us smile. This variant represents one of three distinct finishes commemorating the inaugural ES-335, the others being available in a Faded Tobacco Burst Heavy Aged, and a Tri-Burst Light Aged. The world's pioneering semi-hollow guitar model was conceptualized by former Gibson President Ted McCarty, and this legendary instrument has left an indelible mark on music history since its inception, favored by musicians such as B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Larry Carlton, and Warren Haynes.

Crafted with a 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple laminate body, this '58 ES-335 showcases two deep cutaways and resonant f-holes. Its mahogany neck boasts a larger '58 rounded neck profile and is crowned with an unbound Indian rosewood fingerboard. With a 24.75" scale length, the '58 ES-335 offers 22 frets adorned with dot inlays.

In line with its vintage inspiration, this '58 ES-335 features Gibson's unpotted Custombuckers in both the neck and bridge positions, paired with CTS 500K Audio Taper Pots and Paper-in-Oil Caps. Its control scheme, comprising 2 Volume and 2 Tone knobs, ensures precise tonal versatility.

The renowned Murphy Lab is behind the remarkable finish of this guitar, boasting a "Heavy Aged" treatment that exudes an authentic vintage vibe, evoking the essence of a beloved instrument that has endured the test of time with ample play. The Dirty Blonde finish, complemented by nickel-plated hardware aged by the Murphy Lab to harmonize with the guitar's overall aesthetic, imparts a timeless allure. The hardware ensemble includes a relic'd tailpiece, bridge, and tuning machines.

Limited to 130 instruments for each finish, the 1958 ES-335 Reissue Murphy Lab models come accompanied by a brown and pink Lifton five-latch case, epitomizing their exceptional craftsmanship and exclusivity.

Sturdy, easy, beautiful
Size: 16 Inch
Put these on a coffee table top and it was the perfect combination. It gives an industrial accent to a wood-centered room. Love them.

There is no side to side stability
Size: 28 Inch
This product was easy to assemble and install and came with all parts. The product itself is very sturdy, looks good with a nice industrial aesthetic BUT - there is ZERO stability side to side (lengthwise) as the plates which attach to the wood are too small. I have them set closer than the picture so it is not an issue of being too far apart. If anyone else had this problem AND FIGURED OUT A FIX FOR IT - please share!!

Fairly stable. Good value for the price
Size: 16 Inch, Size: 16 Inch
Great set of stands. You have to tighten them pretty snugly to minimize wobble. Given they are metal they’ll have a little bit more give than solid wood. Even so, a tall desk I built with them remains stable and level.
