This beautiful Martin Custom Shop 00-42 Koa Model came to us straight from the collection of Brian Fallon of the Gaslight Anthem. It is a stunning piece outfitted with eye catching abalone inlays, a polished slotted headplate and a unique figured Koa back and sides.

The top of this guitar was spec'd with an extremely eye-catching High Altitude Swiss Spruce slot of wood that features some rather heavy bearclaw figuring throughout the top while still keeping some of the typical tight straight grained features generally associated with High Altitude Spruce. Additionally, the Koa back and sides is exceptionally book matched with some very nice high flame figuring that is complimented well by the multi-colored purfling. Strong, punchy mid-range with a nice dose of bass and sparkle, especially for a 00.

This 12 fretter is an absolute dream to play thanks to its 16" radius and modified low oval neck. The guitar has been used extensively but shows only some very light wear on the instrument. Some general play wear around the pickguard and rosette, a small ding near the waist and some light buckle rash on the back of the instrument. An L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup has been installed in the instrument with no other modifications or other major repairs being made to the guitar.

This guitar has a few instances of playwear around the upper area of the rosette. There is some light buckle rash on the back of the instrument near the purfling. Additionally, there is a small ding about 3 inches from the waist.
