The colors include the rich reddish brown of Mesquite heartwood, the golden to grayish yellow of Mesquite sapwood, and the dark brown of Mesquite bark. It has a strong and mostly linear grain pattern. It has full bark on the back and could be turned for either a conventional bowl or a "barky" natural edge

The colors include the rich reddish-brown of Mesquite heartwood, the golden to grayish yellow of Mesquite sapwood, and the dark brown of Mesquite bark. It has a strong and mostly linear grain pattern. It has full bark on the back and could be turned for either a conventional bowl or a "barky" natural-edge bowl. There are several drying checks present, as shown in the close-up photo. You will likely want to stabilize these prior to turning. I have trimmed this half-log blank to rough-round to reduce the shipping weight and to better reveal the internal quality. |

Cute but run big

Color is fantastic. Very naked feeling. Runs big. I’m a size 12/14 and usually wear XL with them sometimes feeling tight. I am pear shaped - 35” waist, 47” hip and these fit but were quite loose in the waist. I might consider sizing down if I wanted to tighter. They would be very a bump-friendly non-maternity option
