Amazon parrots are one of the most popular medium-sized parrot species.  They are often described as boisterous, playful, and outgoing. The males have a ‘macho’ behavior by flaring their tail feathers, pinning their eyes, and strutting across the floor or tabletop.  

The Amazon parrots have a hearty appetite, especially for human food, so please do not overfeed them with table scraps.

Wild Amazons love fruit, seeds, flowers, and nectar; they will eat grain if they come upon it.
