I received this book as part of the LibraryThing EarlyReviewer program. The illustrations are photographs of collage, with some digital editing to add snow effects. It's a bit of an atmospheric "kids go for a walk in the snow" book, a la The Snowy Day, but for older kids. I liked how there was a subtle background story about children trying to navigate having slightly conflicting imaginative stories. It can be a challenge for a kid to learn how to do this when playing with others. The illustrations of the dragon especially were a wonderful surprise. My 8 year old loved the book and is happy that we get to keep it.

This story was the perfect length, with enchanting drawings and an adorable plot with charming sisters. Such a joy to read I will definitely be looking forward to reading this book with my daughter. I could see it being a winter favorite.
