Both the front and rear covers are made from cast aluminum and feature both internal and external cooling fins to keep fluid temperatures down. The rear cover is engineered to deflect oil back onto the ring gear and into the pinion gear for optimal lubrication and reduced heat and wear. The rear cover also includes an extra capacity sump for gears to pick up oil and a gasketless design utilizing a re-usable Viton O-Ring. The front cover adds 2.7 quarts of fluid capacity and is compatible with aftermarket track bars. Both covers feature separate fill and drain ports with stainless steel plugs for easier servicing, stainless steel Allen head cap bolts, and magnetic drain plugs to capture suspended material in the oil.
