Taylor's Grand Concert body shape takes the stage for this whole experience to lift off. Layered Big Leaf maple constitutes this guitar's back and sides to deliver a solid tonal foundation from which the sound can bloom. From here, a torrefied spruce top lands for excellent balance and projection. Torrefaction, a process in which the spruce is heat-treated, stabilizes the wood's tonal character and imparts a lived-in sound, usually reserved for older guitars.
This classical's Hard Rock maple neck extends from its gloss-finished, Venetian cutaway-body with Taylor's Standard Carve taking the neck shape for a slim grip across the palm.
