The Fender American Vintage II 1965 Stratocaster embodies the sound and feel of a pivotal year in music history. By 1965, the Stratocaster had become a defining instrument across blues, rock, and surf music, with its unmistakable tone. This model captures the essence of the mid-'60s Strat with period-correct construction, hardware, and electronics, delivering an authentic vintage playing experience.

The alder body provides a resonant tonal foundation, offering warm mids and crisp highs. A maple neck with a 1965 "C" profile is finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, reflecting the craftsmanship of the era. The round-laminated rosewood fingerboard features a 7.25-inch radius and 21 vintage-tall frets, maintaining the classic feel of a mid-'60s Strat. Larger pearloid dot inlays, an 11-hole three-ply pickguard, and a transition-era logo complete the historically accurate look. The Pure Vintage single-line "Fender Deluxe" tuners provide smooth tuning adjustments, while the bone nut enhances resonance and sustain.

A trio of Pure Vintage ‘65 gray-bottom single-coil Stratocaster pickups delivers the signature chime and clarity that defined this era of Stratocasters. The five-way pickup selector switch allows access to a broad tonal range, while separate tone controls for the neck and middle pickups provide precise adjustments. The Pure Vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, equipped with bent steel saddles, ensures accurate intonation and expressive vibrato action.

Finished in Shoreline Gold nitrocellulose lacquer, the Fender American Vintage II 1965 Stratocaster faithfully recreates a landmark year in Strat history. It includes a vintage-style black case.

Good deal for the price
Style: 80 mil 18 SqFt
The product is good and contrary to some comments I read it was not a mess to install and went on very nicely. That said I placed on a 71 Baracudda and starting from a 71db I was able to drop that down to about 66 with two layers Kilmatt 80mil

Kilmat Car Sound Deadening Mats
Style: 50 mil 25 SqFt
Easy to install in a vehicle! Helps keep the heat out as well as keeping it quieter inside my car. Self sticking to the inside of the roof without strong smelling adhesives. The quality of these pieces work very well in my vehicle!

Excellent Sound Deadening Material!
Style: 10 SqFt, Style: 10 SqFt
I installed Kilmat Sound Deadening in my truck, and I’m extremely impressed with the results. The material is thick, pliable, and easy to cut to fit doors, floor panels. It sticks very well to metal surfaces and doesn’t peel, even after heating it slightly to make it more flexible. After installation, I immediately noticed a reduction in road noise and vibrations. Worth the money!!

A Must Have For Car Restorations!
Style: 80 mil 36 sqft, Style: 80 mil 36 sqft
I have been installing this matting in my 74 Datsun 260Z restore and very pleased with the ease of application and overall quality. My car has bedliner coating inside and this stuff sticks extremely well and is easy to trim and shape as well. I have just started installing it and using the rollers to work it in place but I can already tell a difference with just the little bit I have added....has reduced the resonance in the metal already. It's not a fast process but know it will be very rewarding once complete.

Great sound mat for the price!
Style: 50 mil 50 SqFt, Style: 50 mil 50 SqFt
This is a good product. Many people go with KILMAT because of the value to price point. I did as well. When you clean the surface (in my case it was all painted metal) this stuff sticks very well. I do recommend you use a seam roller of some type, I used Lumiteco 3 piece roller set. This will help with adhesion and mostly flatten the overlapped edges. It also helps you see where you have rolled as it leaves little grooves. The difference when we had no sound mats and after was very impressive. We haven't finished our install yet and it is quieter than when we had an interior in the van. There are thicker mats available in other brands, but this will work great for our van build, but this helps keep the weight down. It is quality material, just be careful when you are removing the backing, the edge of the foil face can cut you. I suggest you layout where you are installing the mat and cut to fit. From what I have read, you don't need to cover every inch in the vehicle, just spot install for a big difference. I chose to cover most surfaces to help keep sound out when we are sleeping in the van. We haven't finished putting the van yet, but we have driven it around and been very satisfied with this product.
