Pocket Detective: Bloedrode Rozen is een coöperatief spel waarin spelers in de rol van detectives samen een geheimzinnige zaak moeten zien op te lossen. Iedere speler krijgt een hand kaarten en speelt de kaarten om waardevolle informatie met de groep te delen of legt ze af als zij denken dat de kaarten tot een dwaalspoor leiden. Door te overleggen, logisch na te denken en de aanwijzingen goed te interpreteren probeert het team de zaak op te lossen. Hoe meer vragen er uiteindelijk goed beantwoord worden, hoe hoger de score.
