Hoewel roestvrij staal een 20 % lagere belastbaarheid heeft en iets zachter is dan ons standaard 52100-chroomstaal dat in de meeste van onze lagers wordt gebruikt, vormt het een uitstekend alternatief voor gebruik in een vochtige omgeving, bijvoorbeeld als je je fiets vaak wast of als zweet een probleem kan vormen. Enduro Bearings maakt in deze lagers ook gebruik van LLB-afdichtingen en CRC-maritiem vet voor een verbeterde afdichting. De Enduro 440C-stuurlagers van roestvrij staal zijn identiek aan die in veel populaire stuurstellen, waaronder merken met een garantie van 110 jaar.
