Veel liefde, snoeiwerk en aandacht aan de trossen resulteert een uniek oogst die we ook terug proeven in alle Cava's van Portium.De oude wijngaard van Portium Cava
De leeftijd van de wijngaarden gaan wel terug tot en met vijftig jaar, hierdoor krijgt men hele volle trossen die bekend staan in de gehele regio. Want de trossen van Portium zijn altijd een top conditie. De wijngaard heeft een zuid oostelijke ligging waardoor de trossen veel zon uren krijgen. Maar omdat deze op een hoogte van wel vijfhonderd meter ligt is er ook voldoende koelte van de wind en dalende nacht temperatuur. Deze mix van warmte en koelte draagt bij aan een uniek stukje Spaans vakwerk. In de vroege ochtend worden de trossen binnen gehaald en grondig gecontroleerd. Want enkel de beste trossen worden verwerkt in deze Cava. Alleen met de hoogste precisie kan men de concurrentie aan met de Champagne.Hoe smaakt de Portium Cava?
Voordat we kunnen genieten van deze Portium Cava is er heel veel werk te doen. Als eerste wordt de blend gemaakt door de wijnmaker. Hij weet als geen ander elk jaar een constante kwaliteit af te leveren. De flessen Cava worden zoals ook bij de Franse Champagne in de kelder gelagerd met gist en suiker waardoor er zachte bubbels ontstaan. Deze periode duurt 6 a 8 weken waarna de flessen ook nog eens een lagering krijgen van twee jaar in de kelders van Portium. Het is dus niet zo maar een glas Cava en ja wij hebben ons vaak afgevraagd hoe het kan voor deze prijs. Bij het inschenken van deze Cava zien we een goud gele kleur met zachte belletjes. In de geur geeft hij mooie indrukken van vers gebakken brood, frisse tonen van citrus fruit en wat amandelen. De smaak is een plaatje met een zachte mousse, verfijnde fruit nuances en wat aroma's van grapefruit en groene appel. Wat een top Cava!Shipping Notes

Full of useful information
Format: Paperback
As context, I've underwritten about 100 deals and attended some basic underwriting classes. Rob's book was very useful to me, both in helping me gain better skills in underwriting basics (stabilization time period and how unit renovations and rent bumps are modeled/phased-in as well as when to start applying rent escalator) as well as higher level topics, like partnership structures, sensitivity analyses, and judging the returns. In all of these higher level topics I learned several new topics (and calculations to add to my underwriting) and would guess that even experienced investors would pick up a few quality nuggets in these sections.

A Grounding, Practical, and Surprisingly Reassuring Guide for the Modern College Search

Our family absolutely loves this book, having followed Jeff for many years, purchasing this was an easy choice. We’ve been deep in the college search process for a while now, and like many families, we spent a lot of time trying to balance ambition, fit, finances, outcomes, and the emotional side of it all. “Dream School” was one of the few resources that actually helped us calm down and make clearer decisions.
What stood out most is how realistic and grounded the book is. You'll keep wanting to go to the end to look at the list of schools, but read the book. It doesn’t push prestige for the sake of prestige, and it doesn’t pretend that college admissions follow a straight line. Instead, it helps you think honestly about what a “right fit” really means...academically, socially, financially, and emotionally. For our family, this gave us a framework to rationalize all the moving pieces rather than chasing names or getting overwhelmed by noise from online forums and comparison culture.
As we evaluated schools across different regions, majors, sizes, and price points, this book helped us step back and ask the right questions. Parents of HS Students: READ THIS BOOK!
Format: Hardcover
A must-read book for parents navigating the "IVY OR BUST" aspirations of all top-performing high school students. Families simply can not afford the near-100K/year tuition for these institutions. It's unsustainable, and adding soul-crushing debt (before a career is even begun!) is not what parents want for our students. Enter Dream School: a guide to finding YOUR student's opportunity (and less expensive education) amid the noise and rah-rah of aggressive college recruiting. The book is a fast, comprehensive read which gives parents guidance and "permission" to consider schools with less name recognition/lower cost, but with high performance teaching and reasonable return on investment (ROI.) Remember the goal: a college degree for a happy, fulfilled student ready to enter the job market or grad school.

More than one way to a quality education

As a high school counselor, I watch students and parents driving teens to the brink of exhaustion trying to get into the "right" school. I will not deny that there are some benefits to certain highly selective schools, but the issue is that very few do get in there, even if they are capable, and then what? Students think their future will not be as bright or that they will have fewer opportunities, and this book debunks that idea with research and sound principles. Finding a school that works with your strengths, your goals, and your budget is paramount today, and the very best way to create a future that brings fulfillment. Well-written and researched, this book should be reassurance for parents and students that there are many schools that can provide quality education and opportunities for our young people.
