De Black Wattle Restaurant Grade houtskool van Vuur&Rook zorgt voor een zeer lange constante branding en een gruwelijke hitte in je (keramische) BBQ! Dit houtskool komt uit Zuid-Afrika en wordt gemaakt van het afvalhout van de snelgroeiende en veelvoorkomende uitheemse Acacia boom. Ideaal voor low & slow bereidingen in je keramische barbecue. Deze houtskool wordt per 12 kg zak verkocht.

Houtskool wordt in diverse soorten aangeboden. Een goede houtskool bevat een grove selectie incourante stukken. Hierdoor brandt de houtskool constant en kan er voldoende zuurstof tussen de stukken komen, waardoor alle stukken kunnen ontbranden.

Een goede houtskool wordt niet gemengd, maar bestaat uit één houtsoort. Ook dit is belangrijk om de temperatuur constant te houden. Wanneer je een kamado hebt zoals een Big Green Egg of een Bastard, dan is houtskool de perfecte brandstof. Houtskool is in staat om met heel weinig zuurstof te blijven branden én is tegelijk ook in staat om gruwelijk heet te worden.

Briketten behoeven een minimale hoeveelheid zuurstof en gaan bij gebruik in een kamado vaak vroegtijdig uit.
