Gebaseerd op de nieuwe Ultegra 8050 elektrische groepset, de SHIMANO Ultegra Di2 8150 2x12V braze-on voorderailleur is ontworpen om een breder versnellingsbereik te bieden zonder afbreuk te doen aan de schakelprestaties, terwijl hij even stil als aerodynamisch is.
 
Snel en soepel schakelen is gegarandeerd onder alle omstandigheden, zelfs als je het grote kettingblad gebruikt.

Shimano's Synchronized Shift technologie synchroniseert het schakelen voor met het schakelen achter, waardoor beide derailleurs efficiënt samenwerken.
Met de Semi-Synchronized Shift technologie is het andersom: het schakelen van de achterderailleur wordt gesynchroniseerd met het schakelen van de voorderailleur, zodat de optimale overbrengingsverhouding behouden blijft.

Tegelijkertijd centreert de auto-trimfunctie van de Di2 de voorderailleur automatisch precies rond de ketting, waardoor kettingwrijving wordt voorkomen wanneer de ketting door de cassette beweegt. Zo snel, precies en soepel kun je schakelen.
