Het Amerikaanse Audeze behoort tot de absolute top in de head-fi markt. Deze LCD-2 Classic over-ear hoofdtelefoon is het antwoord van Audeze op de aanhoudende vraag naar de veel geprezen 'originele' pre-Fazor LCD-2 headphones. Met deze legendarische headphones heeft Audeze een onuitwisbare eerste indruk achtergelaten bij vele muziekliefhebbers wereldwijd.

De Audeze LCD-2 Classic koptelefoon is optisch en technisch vergelijkbaar met de originele LCD-2. In plaats van het hout heeft deze LCD-2 Classic echter een zwarte composiet ring gekregen en worden er bij de LCD-2 Classic geen Fazor elementen toegepast. In plaats hiervan is de nieuwe LCD-2 Classic open-back hoofdtelefoon voorzien van Audeze's gevoelige 106mm Planar Magnetic drivers waarmee de geluidskwaliteit vrijwel identiek is met het 'origineel'.

Deze Audeze LCD-2 re-issue kenmerkt zich met een gedetailleerde muziekweergave en een diep doorlopend laag. Het geluidsbeeld is breed, diep en heerlijk transparant. Door de bouwwijze en een het gewicht van slechts 550 gram is het draagcomfort zalig.
