Garmin Cloud

Deze Garmin Dash Cam Live heeft een ingebouwde LTE verbinding die je eenvoudig kunt activeren via de Garmin App. Voor de Cloud verbinding met deze dashcam is dus geen externe Wifi verbinding nodig.

De live verbinding met je Garmin-dashcam biedt handige functies voor extra beveiliging van je auto. Je kunt live beelden bekijken, maar ook meldingen ontvangen van parkeerincidenten. Ook is locatie-tracking beschikbaar in geval van diefstal.

2K resolutie

De Garmin Dash Cam Live filmt in scherpe 2K (1440p) resolutie. De HDR- en Garmin Clarity technologie zorgen bovendien voor zeer scherpe beelden in de nacht zodat je niets meer hoeft te missen.

3,0 inch LCD

Op het 3,0-inch LCD kun je eenvoudig instellingen wijzigen en video's bekijken. Het scherm bevat een screensaver functie waarbij het wordt uitgeschakeld na enkele minuten rijden, zodat je niet wordt gehinderd tijdens het rijden.

Draadloze 5.0 GHz Wifi

De opgenomen video's bekijk je binnen bereik van de dashcam (+/- 5 meter) eenvoudig op je smartphone via de Garmin App voor iOS of Android. De video's zijn live te bekijken en je kunt opgeslagen video's downloaden op je telefoon zodat je ze direct kunt delen. Door de 5.0 gHz Wifi is de bestandsoverdracht sneller dan bij veel andere dashcams. Ook het menu is eenvoudig te bedienen via de App om heel snel instellingen te wijzigen.

GPS

De Garmin Dash Cam Live is uitgerust met GPS zodat de actuele snelheid en coördinaten worden bijgehouden. De snelheid kan desgewenst onderin elke video worden weergegeven en de filmlocatie en route kunnen later via de App worden bekeken.

Time Lapse opnames

Door Time lapse opnames te activeren kun je langere ritten opnemen zonder veel geheugen te verbruiken. In de Time lapse modus maakt de camera elke seconde een foto welke later tot versnelde 30fps video wordt verwerkt. Dit kan handig zijn om je hele vakantierit op te nemen in één video.

ADAS

Deze Garmin Dash Cam Live ondersteunt je met waarschuwing bij gevaarlijke situaties. Bij volgende situaties wordt desgewenst een waarschuwing gegeven:

FCWS: Forward Collision Warning System. Dit systeem geeft een waarschuwing wanneer een voorligger op hoge snelheid wordt benaderd. Het systeem alarmeert bijvoorbeeld bij een filevorming voor de auto. Bij een goed GPS signaal is de actuele snelheid bekend en kan de camera een goede inschatting maken van de situatie rondom de auto.

LDWS: Lane Departure Warning System. Wanneer de auto op de snelweg van rijbaan dreigt te veranderen kan de camera een signaal geven. 

PCW: Pedestrian collision warning. Geeft een waarschuwing wanneer een voetganger te dicht in de buurt van de auto is.

FCD: Front car departure warning. Geeft een waarschuwing als je voorligger is vertrokken maar jij nog stilstaat, bijvoorbeeld bij een stoplicht.

Spraakbesturing

De Garmin Dash Cam live geeft je de mogelijkheid om de dashcam via (Engelstalige) gesproken commando's te besturen. Door commando's zoals 'Make picture', 'Turn off screen', 'Turn on audio' en 'Lock the video' kun je de dashcam veilig tijdens het rijden gebruiken en mis je geen enkel incident.

Flitspaal meldingen

Garmin ondersteunt in sommige regio's flitspaal meldingen. De gegevens worden via de App automatisch geüpdatet zodat je altijd op de juiste plekken op de hoogte wordt gebracht.

Automatische parkeermodus

Garmin biedt de mogelijkheid om je auto te beveiligen tijdens het parkeren. Sluit de dashcam aan met de OBD of 3-draads permanente voeding om de dashcam ook bij een uitgeschakelde auto te voorzien van stroom. Na enkele minuten parkeren schakelt de Garmin automatisch over in de parkeermodus.

140˚ kijkhoek

Met de bescheiden kijkhoek van 140 graden wordt een groot gedeelte rondom de auto opgenomen zonder het beeld teveel te verstoren.

Optionele zuignap houder

De dashcam wordt standaard geleverd met stevige zelfklevende houder. Optioneel is een zuignap bevestiging verkrijgbaar om de dashcam in meerdere voertuigen te kunnen gebruiken.

Optioneel CPL filter

Bevestig het optionele CPL (Polaroid) filter op je Garmin dashcam om hinderlijke reflecties van het dashboard of interieur tegen te gaan. Het filter plaats je in een handomdraai op de dashcam en is eenvoudig te verstellen door hem te draaien.

G-sensor

De Garmin Dash Cam Live heeft een ingebouwde G-sensor. Deze sensor registreert trillingen in het geval van een aanrijding. De huidige video wordt in dat geval beveiligd opgeslagen.

Loop recording

De dashcam is uitgerust met een loop recording waardoor de oudste beelden automatisch worden overschreven door nieuwe. De video's worden opgeslagen in kortere fragmenten van 5 minuten en zodra de SD kaart vol is wordt het oudste fragment verwijderd.

Beveiligde opnames (handmatig geselecteerd of door de G-sensor gedetecteerd) worden in een aparte folder opgeslagen en worden niet verwijderd door de loop recording. Op deze manier heb je altijd toegang tot de laatste en belangrijkste video's.

512gb support

De Garmin Dash Cam Live ondersteunt Micro SD kaarten tot 512gb, goed voor zo'n 60 uur aan opnames. Standaard wordt een 16gb Micro SD kaart meegeleverd waarmee je zo'n 2 uur aan video's kunt opslaan.

Amazing pillows!

These are fantastic pillows! A little background. I'm a side sleeper and toss and turn throughout the night. I've struggled with sleep issues for literally decades - insomnia, tossing and turning, waking up multiple times a night to use the bathroom, waking up way too early and not being able to get back to sleep. Every night it's a combo of those things or all of those things. I've also had some neck pain and stiffness for a couple of months. If you've ever dealt with that you know it will affect sleep which will then affect productivity and mood. It's a terrible spiraling and compounding thing to deal with, very stressful. I figured the contour pillow I had which once was actually helping was unfortunately the culprit. So I went on the hunt for another pillow. I ordered what I thought was the old Rejuvenite pillow (those were fabulous!) and got burned on a bait and switch. The pillow ended up being way too soft and gave me worse neck pain. Figuring I'd try to salvage what was a $115 pillow, I invested in a very thin pillow to put underneath. It was too high. Getting pretty frustrated, I ordered the cheaper Utopia pillows here on Amazon. Those actually were not terrible because they did take away my neck pain, but I was still tossing and turning at night and still feeling unrested in the morning. I decided I'd give it one last shot and luckily found these when they were discounted by a few bucks. They didn't have many reviews which was actually a great sign for me because it means the company lets their product speak for itself. I got these in several days and was thrilled to see upon opening the package that they were sealed and the directions do not require you to open the package and let them expand for 24 hours. You literally just take the edges and fluff 2-3 times and that's it! They are ready to go and they definitely do feel perfect after doing that. I was skeptical when I put them on my bed because they are soft and I worried they'd be too soft. I felt my head sink into the pillow a bit and then was surprised to feel at a certain point it just feels like the pillow is cradling your head with the right amount of support. I wouldn't describe it as firm, just soft but stable support. Really comfortable. But the real test was how it would perform during sleep. I'm so thrilled to report that I had an amazing night of sleep! No neck pain, no stiffness, zero tossing and turning, no insomnia, no waking up during the middle of the night, and no waking up early. I put my head down, fell asleep, and slept like a log for about 7.5 hours straight, which is literally unheard of in my world. I'm very lucky if I get 5 solid hours of sleep. I woke up and popped out of bed. My mood was great (still is later in the day) and I was not tired in the afternoon when I normally feel the fatigue kicking in. This is the first day for as long as I can remember that I do not feel that nagging tiredness behind my eyes and in my body that always seems to be a steady background actor in my life. I feel great and full of energy and I was able to tackle a bunch of tasks on my someday list. This is so promising I didn't want to wait to share. If you are on the fence and are dealing with similar issues to mine, I'd encourage you to just try these. What's also amazing is these come in a set. I'm only using one so I basically have another one to use if the first one ever fails. This is the best investment for sleep I've ever made! Update: Well, after a trial period I'm removing a star because my dreamy sleep was short lived. I started to wake up more frequently during the night with these and gave up midway through the night one night. I'm still using these for back support while I sit up or hang out in bed because they are still super comfortable that way and oddly these work well for naps. Hopefully, you have better luck than me!
