I think you will love these under the right circumstances. Number one the sound absorption is hard to describe because since the panels don't go to the roof sound can easily travel to the other so you and without being hindering but they do absorb sound to a certain extent. They also provide pretty good coverage for privacy in an office or dorm situation with ease. I wouldn't say it's easy to store but it does fold up pretty well and overall for the price it's an effective means of letting those around you know you need some peace. My wife and I both work from home but for different companies. We have separate office spaces but they are without a door between them. These foldable partitions are a great solution for us. The wheels make them easy to move into place when needed, and to store away when they are not. The wheels also lock, making them stable where we set them. The assembly was easy and quick, with only the simplest of instructions needed. Assembly tools were even included. These are large and a bit heavy for one person to move before assembly, so get the wheels on them for easier movement. I've researched how much these can cost new from the commercial office suppliers, and these are a good value.
