De Sinclair Series is een nieuwe lijn van Tobermory/Ledaig. Hiermee wordt oprichter John Sinclair geëerd. De eerste editie is deze NAS Ledaig. Na een eerste rijping op bourbonvaten, kreeg hij een finish op Rioja wijnvaten. De whisky is zonder koude filtering en met zijn natuurlijke kleur gebotteld. Het finishen op Rioja vaten is een verwijzing naar het Spaanse galjoen wat 400 jaar geleden vlakbij de plek waar nu de distilleerderij staat is gezonken.

Kleur: robijnrood. Neus: aroma’s van Turks fruit, rozenblaadjes, gesuikerd fruit, druiven, leer, peperige kruiden, turfrook en hints van chocolade.

Smaak: romig mondgevoel, met tonen van amandelen, gerstemout, peper, framoos, vanille, cacao, turfrook, kaneel en hints van vers gemaaid gras.

De afdronk is aanhoudend rokerig met tonen van rood fruit.
