Een avontuur in het Hisui van weleer
Je arriveert in Hisui-regio; het vroegere Sinnoh waar ook de gebeurtenissen uit Pokémon Diamond en Pokémon Pearl zich voltrekken. Dit verhaal speelt zich echter veel eerder af, in een tijd waarin het worden van een Pokémon Trainer of het organiseren van een Pokémon League nog helemaal niet aan de orde was. De Pokémon die hier ronddwalen, komen je wellicht bekend voor, maar de ruige omgevingen zijn waarschijnlijk anders dan wat je van Sinnoh uit Pokémon Diamond en Pokémon Pearl kent.

Eerste Pokédex
Jouw missie in deze Pokemon Legends: Arceus is om de eerste Pokédex te compleet te maken! Om Pokémon te vangen in Pokémon Legends: Arceus kun je ze observeren om meer over hun gedrag te weten te komen, vervolgens naar ze toe sluipen, je Poké Ball richten en gooien! Je kunt je eigen Pokémon ook laten vechten met Pokémon die je wilt vangen. Gooi de Poké Ball met je eigen Pokémon in de buurt van een wilde Pokémon om een gevecht te starten. Je kunt zelf bepalen welke aanvallen jouw Pokémon moet uitvoeren.

Ontmoet je eerste partner-Pokémon
Aan het begin van je reis om de eerste Pokédex van de regio te maken kun je kiezen uit Rowlet, Cyndaquil of Oshawott als partner-Pokémon. Een professor heeft deze Pokémon op verschillende excursies in andere regio's gevonden en ze naar Sinnoh gebracht.
