De oorsprong van Domaine Allimant-Laugner begint bij twee families die al sinds de 17e eeuw wijn verbouwen, de Laugners in het dorp Dieffenthal en de Allimants in Saint-Hippolyte. Domaine Allimant-Laugner is nu sinds elf generaties producent van Elzaswijnen en is gevestigd in Orschwiller, vlak bij het Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg. De 7 rassen uit de Elzas worden verbouwd op de 12 hectare wijngaarden, die 40 afzonderlijke percelen vertegenwoordigen met verschillende oriëntaties, leeftijden en terroirs.
