Hub BP is ontworpen om leegstaand vastgoed en afgelegen locaties zonder permanente toegang tot het elektriciteitsnet te beschermen. De hub werkt op interne batterijen (niet inbegrepen) of op externe batterijen van derden, waardoor het apparaat altijd werkt.

Hub BP communiceert uitsluitend via een mobiel netwerk (2G/3G/LTE) en heeft geen LAN aansluiting.

Hub BP beschikt over een geavanceerde batterijbesparende modus om de levensduur van de batterij te verlengen.

Hub BP beschikt over het Wings radioprotocol voor tweerichtingscommunicatie om foto's en grote hoeveelheden data te verzenden. Dit protocol is nodig indien MotionCam pircam's worden toegepast voor fotoverificatie.

Om communicatieverbinding via Jeweller, Wings of mobiele netwerk te verbeteren in lastige omgevingen kan een externe antenne aangesloten worden. Per kanaal is een aparte antenne nodig. (art.nr. 320395)

Het configureren van het systeem gaat via de mobiele en desktop-apps van Ajax. Het bedienen kan via de mobiele app, een SpaceControl handzender of via een KeyPad (Plus) bediendeel, eventueel met kaart of tag.

De betrokkenheid van de gebruiker kan ook tot een minimum worden beperkt door de maximaal 32 automatiseringsscenario's om de beveiligingsmodes volgens een bepaald schema te veranderen, routineacties te verminderen en bedreigingen actief te bestrijden.
