De derde generatie van wijnhuis Zuccardi

Het wijnhuis Zuccardi werd opgericht in 1963 door Alberto Zuccardi in de provincie Mendoza in Argentinië. Het is een van de oudste en meest gerespecteerde wijnbedrijven in Argentinië, met een grote nadruk op innovatie en duurzaamheid. Alberto begon met het verbouwen van druiven op een kleine boerderij in de regio Maipu. Naarmate zijn bedrijf groeide, begon hij ook met het verbouwen van druiven in andere delen van Mendoza, waaronder Paraje Altamira. Het vinificatieproces van de Zuccardi Finca los Membrillos begint met de oogst van druiven van hoge kwaliteit. De druiven worden handmatig geoogst en snel naar de wijnmakerij gebracht om te voorkomen dat ze oxideren. De druiven worden dan geperst en de most wordt gekoeld om te beginnen met de vergisting. De vergisting vindt plaats bij lage temperaturen om de fruitige aroma's en smaken van de druiven zo goed mogelijk te behouden. Nadat de vergisting is voltooid, wordt 50 procent van de wijn overgebracht naar Franse eikenhouten vaten voor een houtlagering.

De Zuccardi Finca los Membrillos Cabernet Sauvignon is een intense, volle rode wijn met een diep robijnrode kleur. De neus is gevuld met aroma's van rijpe rode bessen, zoals cassis en bosbessen, met tonen van zoethout, kruiden en een vleugje vanille. In de mond is deze wijn vol en rond, met een goede balans tussen tannines en de zuurgraad. De smaken van rijpe rode bessen en kruiden komen terug in de smaak met een aangename afdronk. Deze wijn is een perfecte begeleider voor gerechten met rundvlees of wild.

My 2-gallon sprayer’s nozzle cracked — leading to Spectracide dribbles along my path through the yard…not good! Since a replacement nozzle cost as much as a new sprayer, so began the search for a new unit. I admit that lugging a full 2-gal sprayer around the yard, although it required no refilling, became quite tiring and blister-inducing; I then began reading reviews for 1-gal … Horror stories about bad seals, leaks, no pressure, etc. had me dismayed. However, since Amazon’s return policy is easy, I decided on this 2-pack of 1-gal Chapin 22000. If needing my usual 1.5-2 gallons of weed killer, I could always fill BOTH ahead of time and save myself some blisters and backache! Never having used pressurized sprayers WITHOUT pressure relief valves, I was slightly hesitant to buy these, though…well, I guess I’ll just have to be extremely careful to not get the poisonous spray on myself when removing the pump! ☠️ Sprayers arrived in perfect, brand new condition; all parts/pieces were received. Assembly was super easy, even WITHOUT referring to instruction manual — used channel locks to tighten the hose, as pliers could not be located and hands are not very strong. Tested/practiced with water. Got a feel for how many pumps were necessary and adjusted the spray tip to my preference. My last sprayer required opening the PRV and then squeezing sprayer to empty hose/release remaining pressure in order to be able to unscrew pump handle. The directions for THESE say to simply unscrew the handle a bit until you can hear the built-up pressure vent out. I did just that — no explosive spray to the face and the pump handle unscrewed easily. WHEW! So, today was the sprayer’s maiden voyage around the yard. I followed the directions to pump the handle until resistance is felt (maybe 8x?). WOW — so much easier to carry! Pressure is great — liquid shot out about 15’! Although the “feel” of the sprayer trigger is cheap and small (even for female hands), it was quite responsive and allowed for a steady stream with no leaks/dribbles. Happy with this purchase and hope I can get at least a few years out of them. 🤞🏼 Also, after I’d placed my order, I just happened to be in WM’s lawn/garden section… These are sold there, as well, for a higher price. They seem to be very popular, too, as nearly all were gone from the shelf.

I’ve used this sprayer for applying fertilizer, insect control, and watering plants, and overall it works really well for basic lawn and garden jobs.
