In Flamecraft worden spelers artisanale drakenverzorgers in een betoverde stad waar draken en mensen samenwerken. Elke speler begint met een basisset winkels en draken die verschillende grondstoffen en ambachten beheersen. Spelers sturen hun draken naar verschillende winkels in de stad om goederen te produceren, zoals juwelen, brood, en toverdrankjes. Het doel is om de meest prestigieuze winkelstraat te creëren door de meest productieve draken te plaatsen en winkels op te waarderen. Elke winkel biedt unieke mogelijkheden voor puntenverzameling en speciale bonussen die kunnen worden geactiveerd door de juiste draak. Spelers moeten hun draken strategisch plaatsen en hun middelen slim beheren om de meeste punten te scoren.
