Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter 3x3G

Designed for modern broadcast and live production environments, this compact rack‑mount converter provides a powerful bridge between traditional SDI equipment and SMPTE‑2110 IP infrastructures. Using a single 10 Gb/s Ethernet connection, it can transport three independent HD video channels simultaneously, making it an efficient and cost‑effective solution for migrating existing systems to IP‑based workflows. Each channel operates fully independently, allowing simultaneous conversion of SDI to IP and IP back to SDI without compromise. 

The unit is engineered to integrate seamlessly into existing SDI installations. All three 3G‑SDI inputs include loop outputs, enabling in‑line installation without disrupting established signal paths. At the same time, dedicated SDI outputs per channel make it possible to connect up to six different SDI devices concurrently. This flexibility allows engineers to deploy the converter in a wide variety of roles, from live production switchers and recorders to monitoring and routing applications. 

Full compliance with the SMPTE‑2110 standard ensures reliable transport of uncompressed video, audio and ancillary data over managed IP networks. Support includes SMPTE‑2110‑20 for video, SMPTE‑2110‑21 for traffic shaping, SMPTE‑2110‑30 for audio and SMPTE‑2110‑40 for ancillary data. Precision Time Protocol support according to IEEE 1588‑2008 enables accurate synchronization across the network, while the integrated reference output provides Tri‑Sync or Black Burst locked directly to the PTP clock. 

An elegant front panel with a 2.2‑inch colour LCD offers clear monitoring of video, audio levels, timecode and signal standards. Built‑in controls with a rotary knob allow local configuration, diagnostics and even routing of IP inputs directly from the front panel, reducing setup time during installation or live operation. Remote management is supported over Ethernet, and USB‑C connectivity is provided for updates and configuration. 

Power is supplied via PoE+ over the 10 Gb Ethernet connection or through an internal AC power supply, ensuring reliable operation in both fixed installations and mobile racks. Supporting all SD and HD formats up to 1080p60 with high colour precision, this converter is a practical building block for professional IP broadcast systems transitioning from SDI.
