Clos Marie ' Pic St Loup Rouge Olivette 2023 'In Pic Saint Loup, een van de mooiste (en inmiddels ook duurste) terroirs van de Languedoc met coteaux en een bevoorrecht microklimaat heeft Peyrus half Syrah, half Grenache aangeplant en een beetje mourvdre. Zelfverzekerd en doordacht vertalen Christophe en Franoise hun van nature (de gifspuit komt er niet aan te pas, sinds 1999 werken ze in stilte biodynamisch) gezonde druiven in gezonde, ongefilterde wijnen. Alle percelen worden apart gevinifieerd.

Zelfverzekerd en doordacht vertalen Christophe en Françoise hun van nature (de gifspuit komt er niet aan te pas, sinds 1999 werken ze in stilte biodynamisch) gezonde druiven in gezonde, ongefilterde wijnen. Alle percelen worden apart gevinifieerd. Als ze het nodig achten, laten zij de diverse wijnen rustig twee jaar groeien alvorens de definitieve assemblages te maken. Een klein gedeelte rijpt op cuvee, de rest op hout (geen nieuw). 

Beschrijving: Framboos, olijf (ooit stonden hier olijfbomen), rozemarijn, kersen en mooi zacht.

Lekker bij: Lamsvlees, wild, kruidige groenteschotel.

Leuk weetje: Ooit bevoer Christophe Peyrus de wereldzeeën, nu speelt deze gedrevene met Françoise Julien Champions League. De wijnen behoren tot de meeste gezochte van de hele Languedoc.
