De ontpitter heeft een afneembaar spatscherm dat je kleding en werkblad beschermt tegen spatten tijdens het ontpitten. De stevige gietaluminium constructie verwijdert pitten eenvoudig en de zachte, comfortabele greep absorbeert de druk tijdens het gebruik. De greep is anti-slip, zelfs wanneer je handen nat zijn. De extra grote houder is ook geschikt voor grotere kers- en olijfsoorten, maar de verzonken kop houdt ook kleinere exemplaren netjes op hun plaats tijdens het ontpitten. Na gebruikt houdt een slotje de ontpitter dicht voor compact opbergen. De kers- en olijfontpitter mag in de vaatwasmachine, in geopende positie.
