De Viofo A229 Pro 2CH is de langverwachte opvolger van de populaire en betrouwbare A229 serie. Hierbij heeft Viofo zowel een update aan de vormgeving als de specificaties doorgevoerd. De Viofo A229 Pro 2CH filmt met 4K resolutie aan de voorkant en met QuadHD (2K) aan de achterkant. Gecombineerd met een ingebouwde Sony Starvis 2 beeldsensor levert de A229 Pro daarmee haarscherpe beelden, zowel aan de voorkant als de achterkant en in alle omstandigheden.

Dual 4K + Quad HD opnames

Doordat de Viofo A229 Pro 2CH is uitgerust met twee camera's, kan er zowel voor als achter de auto worden opgenomen. De Viofo A229 Pro 2CH filmt met 4K resolutie aan de voorkant en met QuadHD (2K) aan de achterkant. De achtercamera wordt met een lange meegeleverde kabel van 6 meter verbonden aan de voorste camera. De beelden van de achtercamera worden apart opgeslagen op de SD kaart. Op het 2.4 inch HD LCD scherm wordt via PiP (Picture in Picture) de achtercamera op éénvierde van het scherm weergegeven.

Optionele verlengde achtercamera (waterdicht)

Optioneel is de 14,5 meter lange RWC200 waterdichte achter camera beschikbaar (zie accessoires). Deze 2K achtercamera kan worden gebruikt voor langere voertuigen zonder achterruit, zoals bestelbussen of campers. Door de IP67 classificatie kan de RWC200 zonder problemen buiten worden gemonteerd.

Dual-Band Wifi

De Viofo A229 Pro 2CH is uitgerust met dual-band Wifi (5 Ghz) waardoor de bestandsoverdracht zeer snel is en het netwerk erg betrouwbaar. Via de Viofo App kan via de Wifi op elke iOS en Android telefoon en tablet direct de beelden worden bekeken en gedownload.

Inclusief CPL filter

Met de meegeleverde CPL filter wordt een optimale bescherming en beeldkwaliteit gegarandeerd onder zonnige omstandigheden. De CPL filter werkt voor de dashcam als een polaroid zonnebril voor de ogen. Schadelijke UV straling wordt gefilterd en hinderende reflecties worden weggenomen. De beeldkwaliteit en duurzaamheid van de camera worden daardoor verbeterd. Voor de achter camera is het CPL-300 filter optioneel verkrijgbaar (zie accessoires).

2x SONY Starvis sensor

De Viofo A229 Pro 2CH filmt met 4K + QuadHD (2K) beeldkwaliteit. Door de supersnelle Novatek 96660 chip in combinatie met de twee SONY sensors zijn alle details goed zichtbaar, ook in het donker. 

Automatische parkeerstand

De Viofo A229 Plus Duo 4K Wifi is uitgerust met een automatische parkeerstand met bewegingsdetectie of Time Lapse. Bij bewegingsdetectie staat de camera op stand-by en begint hij een opname van 30 seconden wanneer een beweging wordt waargenomen. Bij Time Lapse neemt de camera continue een 1fps video op die later (versneld) als 30fps video kan worden afgespeeld. Op deze manier is altijd bewijsmateriaal beschikbaar wanneer de auto is beschadigd terwijl deze geparkeerd stond.

Let op: De automatische parkeerstand werkt enkel indien de dashcam wordt gebruikt met de Viofo HK4 permanente voeding of de OP100 OBD-II voeding USB-C (zie accessoires). Daarmee aangesloten zal de camera automatisch overschakelen in de parkeerstand wanneer het contact van de auto wordt uitgezet en overgaan op de normale opname wanneer de auto wordt gestart.

Bluetooth SOS knop (optioneel)

Met de handige optionele Viofo A229 Plus Duo 4K Wifi Bluetooth SOS knop kan met één druk op de knop een handmatige SOS opname worden gestart op de Viofo A229 Pro 2CH. De SOS knop kan eenvoudig met de Viofo A229 Pro 2CH worden verbonden door de dashcam aan te zetten en de knop 3 seconden ingedrukt te houden. Het blauwe indicatie LEDje op de knop zal blauw branden indien de verbinding succesvol tot stand is gebracht. De SOS knop kan op elke gewenste plek binnen het voertuig worden gemonteerd d.m.v. de meegeleverde plakker.

GPS module

De Viofo A229 Pro 2CH wordt standaard geleverd met GPS module. Door de GPS kan de actuele snelheid worden weergegeven in het beeld. Dit kan van doorslaggevende betekenis zijn als bewijsmateriaal bij een incident. Bovendien wordt via de GPS de plek onthouden van de plaatsen waar is gefilmd met de dashcam. Via de software op de PC kan daardoor de afgelegde route worden bekeken.

2.4 inch HD LCD scherm

Deze Viofo A229 Pro 2CH dashcam heeft een 2.4 inch HD LCD scherm. Op het scherm worden de live beelden weergegeven en kan het menu eenvoudig worden bediend. De ingebouwde screensaver schakelt het LCD scherm desgewenst automatisch na een ingesteld aantal minuten uit zodat het geen hinder voor de bestuurder oplevert.

140˚ + 160˚ wideview lens

Door de 140˚ + 160˚ wideview 'fish eye' lens heeft de Viofo A229 Pro 2CH een groot bereik en wordt bijna alles in de omgeving opgenomen.

1.8 aperture 7G lens

Door de 1.8 aperture aan de voorzijde en 1.9 aperture aan de achterzijde, in combinatie met een 7G lens wordt veel licht opgevangen waardoor de kwaliteit van de beelden zowel overdag als in het donker zeer goed is.

HDR

Door de HDR (High Dynamic Range) technologie is de camera in staat scherpe beelden te generen bij erg hoge én erg lage lichtintensiteit. Hierdoor neemt de camera zowel overdag bij veel licht en 's nachts bij weinig ligt haarscherpe beelden op.

WDR

De Viofo A229 Pro 2CH is uitgerust met WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) hardware. Hierdoor past de dashcam de lichtintensiteit automatisch aan afhankelijk van de omgeving. De WDR garandeert hierdoor de beste beeldkwaliteit onder wisselende omstandigheden.

Auto start

De Viofo A229 Pro 2CH dashcam begint automatisch te filmen wanneer de auto wordt gestart. Je hoeft er dus niet meer naar om te kijken als hij in de auto hangt. Voorwaarde hierbij is wel dat hij is aangesloten op de voeding in de auto.

G-sensor

Door de ingebouwde G-sensor merkt de Viofo A229 Pro 2CH dashcam wanneer je een ongeluk hebt gehad. Bij een impact worden beelden automatisch beveiligd opgeslagen zodat ze niet meer verloren gaan. Ze kunnen niet meer overschreven worden en ook niet via de dashcam worden verwijderd.

AV uitgang

Via de AV uitgang kan het beeld van de dashcam worden weergegeven op een externe monitor, zoals een ingebouwd navigatie systeem van de auto. Voor het overdragen van de beelden is een AV kabel nodig.

Super capacitor batterij

De Viofo A229 Pro 2CH uitgerust met een super capacitor batterij. Deze batterij zorgt ervoor dat de camera zich na het wegvallen van de stroom op de juiste manier kan afsluiten. Super capacitor batterijen zijn speciaal ontwikkeld voor het gebruik in dashcams omdat ze duurzamer zijn dan reguliere Polymeer Li-ion batterijen en bovendien beter bestand zijn tegen hoge en lage temperaturen.

Ingebouwde microfoon

Door de ingebouwde microfoon in deze dashcam wordt ook het geluid in en rondom de auto opgenomen. De microfoon kan desgewenst worden uitgezet

Good Space Savings, but the Bag Zippers don't hold very well

I purchased these Vacbird travel vacuum bags mainly to save space in carry-on luggage and cruise packing, and the overall concept works well. The included rechargeable air pump is compact and convenient for travel, and the compression bags can significantly reduce the amount of space taken up by clothing and soft items when sealed properly. The bags themselves are easy to fill and compress, and they can definitely help organize luggage more efficiently for longer trips. For bulky clothing like jackets, sweatshirts, or extra layers, the space savings are noticeable. The rechargeable pump is also more convenient than manually rolling air out of the bags repeatedly. The reason this isn’t a higher rating is the zipper closure quality. The zippers feel much weaker than they should for a product designed around repeated compression and travel handling. Several closures required extra care to avoid separating or leaking air, which reduces confidence in long-term durability. The system works, but the zipper design feels like the weak point and keeps the product from feeling as reliable as it otherwise could be.

I don't normally write reviews, however I can't not mention the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Customer Care experience I had with these folks. But first, In review of the product itself, which is the 'Executive Series Black Milk Frother with Black Holster Stand'. This is my first 'frother' purchase, and I must say I was skeptical at best to try it, but I opted to purchase it anyway because of all the great things the company stands for. I figured, how good could it really work?! Well, as a matter of fact, it worked quite wonderfully! Within just a few seconds / pulses of the frother, you have beautifully frothed contents. It is simple to operate, with one hand, and just the simple push of a button. (I imagine I could even make whipped cream without dragging out a stand mixer.) The batteries, (2 AA - not included), were simple to load. And, there is a battery pull ribbon so you can also remove them easier, if you utilize the pull ribbon and thread it between the batteries. This device quickly became part of my weekend coffee routine, and I also purchased a lesser model to bring to work. (This 'Executive' one, has a holster stand, which looks nicer, and seemed to cradle the frother, instead of hooking it into the holder.) I was so happy with the frother, I was sad that one day it seemed to not be working quite as well. I thought .. hmm, maybe the batteries need to be changed? I changed the batteries, and was still experiencing it not really working. (I would press the button, but it didn't start frothing right away, and then seemed less powerful in a way when it did start. But, it did still froth.) After a second day of experiencing the same thing, I reached out to Zulay. They are gracious enough to have ALL of their contact information printed directly on their box, underneath all of the beautiful information about the company, and where / how it began. It was on a weekend, so I chose to send an email describing what I was experiencing, and asking their advice. Based off most recent attempts at Customer 'Service' with other companies, I didn't really expect to hear back. Not only DID I hear back, but I received an email from a human, not just a system-generated response with canned information. They expressed their concern for my item not working, and assured me they would make it right if given the opportunity. They wanted to confirm my order, to make sure they had the same model in stock. Within hours, they sent me a link to replace my item, and would ship it directly to me, no questions asked. No need to return the inoperable item, no need to do anything but literally click the button and wait for it to arrive. My replacement arrived, and it was the exact model I purchased. It was brand new, wrapped in package .. not some refurbished item. And, much to my shock and appreciation that almost NO ONE does this anymore, there was a hand written card included in the package thanking me for giving their family run business a shot. Well, I thank YOU for sharing YOUR family with us, and for making me feel a little like a piece of yours! I would highly recommend this product, and would certainly purchase it, or others, in the future. I would certainly also be comfortable gifting this item. Enjoy!

A Frother that Won't Turn Off? Great Service. Lost Package. Great Hot Chocolate. Worth It!

I saw this item (or one similar) on an Alton Brown short video. He recommended a frother and I thought "what the heck? If AB recommends a uni-tasker, it must be something good." The item came in, loaded with batteries and all. I removed the plastic tab that interrupts the power and the unit kicked on. I wasn't pressing anything. It just started and would not stop. To return the item is not worth the time or money, especially since none of the "free return" options are anywhere close to me. Called the company and told them what had happened. I spoke with a very nice woman and after I described what happened, her response was not faux sympathy, but "that shouldn't have happened. We'll make it right." She offered not only to replace the unit, but send a second one free of charge. When I declined the second one, she said "take it for your troubles. Give it to a friend if you want." The order was sent out. Tracking via USPS was sent. The package was supposed to be delivered on a Friday, which was great as we were supposed to get cold temps and snow. I was anticipating making frothy hot chocolate. Suddenly the tracking showed the package being delivered. It was not. You cannot ask the USPS to find a package for 7 days and my local post office doesn't answer the phone. Disappointed, I started to make dinner and looked out the window and I could see my postal carrier's truck a block away. I waddled over to the truck and talked to her. She said "I know where it is." She had delivered it 3 blocks away. Same house number, but different street. She went and found the package, brought it to me and Bob's your uncle. That night I made hot chocolate and used the frother. I was surprised that the long shaft did not vibrate or waiver. It stays true. The speed is fast, but not overly so. The thing made a difference. It seemed to make the hot chocolate "lighter" and smoother. I threw a piece of chocolate in the mug, waited a little and then frothed again using the frother. No issues with the frother. I now had frothy, really chocolate-ly hot chocolate. For kicks and on the advice of a friend, I added a tablespoon of peppermint schnapps and used the frother again. Best hot chocolate from a mix I ever had. The frother worked better than advertised. Woo Hoo!! Because the first one didn't work, I have to knock a star off of the rating for the product. But the customer service and actual accountability of the women with whom I spoke is refreshing in the world of product support and customer service. The item is really good and would recommend whole heartedly.
