De visie om prachtige wijnen te maken, met oog op het milieu en de duurzaamheid, komt perfect tot zijn recht in deze Clunia Albillo.

De wijngaarden van Clunia Albillo

Een zeldzaamheid, zo kunnen wij deze witte wijn wel beschrijven. De wijngaarden voor Clunia Albillo liggen in de provincie Burgos, op ongeveer 2 uur rijden ten westen van Navarra. De wijnregio waarin de wijngaarden staan, Castilla y Leon, is momenteel groeiende. En dat mede dankzij Principe de Viana. Zij hebben de Albillo druif behoudt van uitsterven. Deze inheemse druif wordt dankzij Clunia steeds meer aangeplant op de robuuste wijnvelden in Castilla y Leon. Op een hoogte van minstens 1000 meter boven zeeniveau, want dan komt deze witte druif het best tot haar recht.

De geur en smaak van Clunia Albillo

Deze wijn creëren is een vak apart. Alles gaat zeer secuur en precies. Elke druif wordt handmatig geplukt en geselecteerd, voordat zij in het proces gaat. Hierdoor komen alleen de allerbeste druiven in aanmerking om onderdeel te worden van Clunia Albillo. Na de vergisting gaat het zeldzame sap in eikenhouten vaten van 500 liter, waar het gedurende vijf maanden in rijpt. Hierdoor ontstaat er een breed boeket aan geuren en smaken. Je ruikt aroma’s van zacht abrikoos, frisse ananas en verkwikkende grapefruit. Maar wals Clunia Albillo door je glas en de florale tonen zullen je neus verwennen. Een subtiele toets van kruiden maakt deze witte wijn helemaal compleet.
