Deze babyslaapzak heeft een speciale 'cocoon' functie waardoor je baby rustig in slaap kan vallen en is daarmee een alternatief voor traditioneel inbakeren. Deze slaapzakjes bieden voldoende bewegingsvrijheid voor de benen, maar zijn extra smal op het bovenlijf.

De armsgaten kunnen met drukknopen worden dichtgemaakt. Hierdoor vindt je baby zijn rust en schrikt hij niet wakker van een onverwachte beweging. Het is nog steeds mogelijk voor jouw kleintje om de armpjes te bewegen tijdens het slapen.

De baby slaapzakken van Koeka voldoen aan de veiligheidsnormen: door de pasvorm van de halsopening en armsgaten wordt voorkomen dat je baby weg kan zakken in de slaapzak. Dit slaapzakje is 65cm lang en geschikt voor kindjes van 0 tot 6 maanden oud.

Na drie maanden kan je baby gaan rollen en wordt het gebruik van de cocoon-functie afgeraden. Afbouwen kan door eerst één arm vrij te laten met in slaap vallen en daarna beide armen van je baby vrij te laten. Je baby is nu gewend om rustig en zelfstandig in slaap te vallen.

Let op: Laat de armen van je baby altijd vrij:

  • bij een heupafwijking (heupdysplasie) of een afwijking van de wervelkolom (scoliose).
  • bij een luchtweginfectie.
  • bij koorts. Je baby kan zijn warmte dan niet kwijt.
  • binnen 24 uur na het geven van een vaccinatie.
  • bij kindjes met eczeem en baby’s met reflux; overleg eerst met een deskundige

I don't know if I'd call the scent of this "bacon," more like rubber with a hint of bacon. It's very strong. I gave my dog one of the balls & put one in a cabinet where I keep his treats & a few other unrelated odds & ends. I now hold my breath when I open that cabinet b/c good lord, the smell. I'm tempted to just give that one to the dog too, just because it'll air out eventually & then everything else in that cabinet won't smell bad. My dog feels so-so about it. He'll briefly chase after it & chew on it, but loses interest in it pretty fast. My rather hyperactive cat also plays with it from time to time, as he seems to have more interest in most dog toys than the dog these days, so there's that. (Then again, he thinks a wide variety of random items around the house are loads of fun to toss about, so it's possible his opinion is to be taken with a grain of salt. Between the brief periods of one of these balls being chewed on & clawed at, it's stayed completely intact. I think if you have a dog who simply likes to play fetch or chew on rubber balls in general, this one would stand up to the task. But if you're expecting it to be greeted with the enthusiasm as a bacon grease covered ball might be - I'd adjust your expectations.
