De elfde editie van Boek & Brekkie! Het concept is simpel: je ontbijt tussen de boeken en daarna bespreken we met elkaar een boek. Dit keer Erosie van de Vlaamse auteur Astrid Haerens. 

Het ticket bestaat uit twee onderdelen: het ontbijt (€17,-) en het boek (€22,99). Hieronder vind je meer informatie over het ontbijt en het boek.

Je kunt alleen een ticket kopen voor het ontbijt incl. het boek.

De ochtend begint om 09:30 uur en we eindigen rond 11:30 uur.

Over het boek
Indringende roman over de intensiteit van vriendschap. Herkenbaar voor iedereen wier vriendschap ooit verbroken werd.

Helle, een internationaal succesvolle kunstenaar, verliest plots haar levenslange vriendin Alma. Het contact wordt verbroken en een gapend gat blijft achter: een allesverterend vriendschapsverdriet waar geen woorden voor lijken te bestaan. Op drift besluit Helle zich terug te trekken op een Duits waddeneiland, waar ze in de stilte en ruigheid van de natuur de lagen van rouw en zorg afpelt.

In Erosie laat Astrid Haerens de uitzonderlijke kracht en complexiteit van een vriendschap tussen twee vrouwen zien – een band die zowel vormend als verwoestend kan zijn.

Over Astrid Haerens
Astrid Haerens (1989) groeide op in Zwevegem en woont in Brussel. Ze behaalde een Master in Woordkunst aan het Conservatorium van Antwerpen. In september 2017 verscheen haar debuutroman Stadspanters bij uitgeverij Polis. Ander werk publiceerde ze onder meer in Revisor, De Gids, Het liegend konijn en de Poëziekrant. Haar debuutbundel Oerhert verscheen in maart 2022, waarmee ze de Poëziedebuutprijs 2023 won en ook genomineerd was voor de Herman de Coninckprijs 2023 en de C. Buddingh-prijs 2023.

Comforter is nice, sheets are alright. Color is true!

This is a decent comforter set. The actual comforter isn’t too heavy, and would be perfect spring through fall in the Midwest. It’s a true queen size fit and the burnt orange color looks as it does in the photos. I ordered these before it mentioned they’re polyester. They definitely don’t feel as breathable as cotton sheets but as far polyester goes, they feel soft. The sheets wrinkle easily but the comforter feels durable. If you’re looking for an affordable sheet set and you’re cool with polyester, this is a good option. Also of note is that 2 of the pillow cases have a little extra fabric on the outer rim to look more “decorative.”
