Nee nee, niet de gort droge, hoog citrusachtige witte wijn die we kennen, wel Muscadet sur-lies, maar dan heel anders. Same Same but different laten we maar zeggen. Met 26 maanden rijping sur-lies niet de Muscadet om bij de bekende combinatie met oesters te pairen, maar juist bij kalfszwezerik, stevig gekruide keukens of bij gebakken Sint-Jacobsschelpen. Leuk om iemand mee te verassen, of jezelf. Prachtig rond, complex, vol gedroogd geel fruit en rokerige tonen met een zilt randje. Witte bloemen en zachte aromatische kruiden binden de wijn tot een geheel. le Fief du Breil, een hele mooie weergave van terroir en al helemaal van het talent en kunnen van Jo. 

In het noord-westelijk deel van de Loire, Nabij Nantes, ligt de appellatie Muscadet S&M, niet te verwarren met de zoete Muscat wijnen. De officiële benaming van de druif is Melon de Bourgogne, welke dan weer niets met de Bourgogne te maken heeft.

De goedlachse Jo (zeer herkenbaar vanwege zijn gigantische snor) is een pionier in de biodynamie in Loire. Hij werkt sinds 1999 biologisch en ontving in 2002 het ECOCERT bio certificaat. Zijn wijnen zijn spatzuiver en sommige cuvée's kunnen ook goed ouderen.
