Met de MaxLED RGBW-controller uit de Smart Home Zigbee serie kunnen MaxLED-stripes met RGBW-kleurlichtbesturing worden geschakeld en gedimd. De controller is Zigbee 3.0 compatibel. Zigbee is een draadloos overdrachtsprotocol dat apparaten van verschillende fabrikanten met elkaar verbindt. Hierdoor is een centrale besturing van de verlichting mogelijk. U kiest tussen de bediening via Smart Friends Box, een gateway van een andere fabrikant met dezelfde standaard of een Smart Home Zigbee handzender. Afzonderlijke componenten kunnen gericht worden aangesproken of in groepen als lichtscènes worden geschakeld.
