De ELGA ALUTIG Si5 TIG-staven 2.4 mm met een lengte van 1000 mm, geleverd in een 2,5 kg koker, zijn hoogwaardige aluminium TIG-lasstaven met circa 5% silicium (AlSi5). Deze lasstaven zijn speciaal ontwikkeld voor het lassen van aluminium-siliciumlegeringen en gietaluminium, waarbij een goede vloeibaarheid, lage krimp en strak lasuiterlijk essentieel zijn.


Dankzij het verhoogde siliciumgehalte heeft ALUTIG Si5 een uitstekende smeltbadvloei en een lage neiging tot warmtescheuren. De 2.4 mm diameter is ideaal voor middelmatig aluminium, waar meer opvulling en hogere lasstromen nodig zijn dan bij 1.6 mm, maar met behoud van controle en laskwaliteit. Het resultaat zijn gladde, gelijkmatige lasrupsen met een mooie afwerking.


ALUTIG Si5 is vergelijkbaar met AWS ER4043 / EN ISO 18273 S Al 4043 en wordt veel toegepast in constructies waar vervormingsbeperking en esthetiek belangrijk zijn.
