De druifsoort waar Toro Albala in gespecialiseerd is. Het is het resultaat van een eeuwenoude traditie. Namelijk het bewaren van minstens één vat van de wijn die in speciale jaren is gemaakt. Deze wijn wordt lang bewaard en op precies het juiste moment gebotteld.

Elegante Toro Albala wijnen

Bodegas Toro Albala werd in 1922 opgericht en richtte zich direct op het produceren van hoogwaardige versterkte en likeurwijnen. De Pedro Ximenez druif stond vanaf dag 1 centraal. En jaar naar jaar kon oprichter Jose Maria Toro Albala zijn droom waarmaken. Zijn wijnen zijn wereldwijd geliefd en enkele behoren tot de meest bewonderde ter wereld. Er werd altijd gestreefd naar het hoogst haalbare. Het begon met het langdurig bewaren van zijn wijnen, om er vervolgens elegantere wijnen van te produceren, dan wat de concullega’s deden. Het was een groot risico vanwege de economische crisis, maar Toro Albala hield voet bij stuk. Het resulteerde uiteindelijk in grote successen. Om ervoor te zorgen dat de druiven hun zoete karakter krijgen worden de Pedro Ximenez druiven in de zon gedroogd tot rozijnen. Hierdoor kunnen de druiven hun grote rijkdom aan suiker verkrijgen. De druiven worden vervolgens in de wijnmakerij geperst, en langdurig gerijpt.

De geur en smaak van Don PX Luxury Collection 1955

Daarna is het tijd om van deze Sherry wijn te genieten. De kleur is donker, bijna zwart met mooie reflecties in het glas. De geur is intens met aroma’s van sinaasappel, balsamico, rozijnen, pruimen en gedroogde abrikozen. Een heerlijke zoete smaak, aangevuld met een lichte zuurgraad die uiteindelijk leidt tot een aangename bitterheid en een frisse afdronk. Een heerlijke zoete wijn die perfect is om zo van te genieten. Maar hij combineert ook erg goed met wildgerechten of chocolade desserts.

Asurion coverage was worth every penny!
Bought a window AC in 2020 and was offered Asurion coverage at checkout. Paid $39 for the 4 year plan and never expceted it would be worth the money paid. Honestly, never expected to even use it. That said...the AC failed about 2 years later so I made a claim online. The claim went in but required a call to an Asurion rep (very nice guy on the phone). He asked a few questions then told me the claim was approved. Total time to for the entire process was about 15 mins. I had the choice of having it repaired or a refund check. I asked for the refund. An emailed pre-paid UPS label was recieved a few minites later and the guy said they'd mail me a check when the UPS package was received, so I dropped it off at UPS. Three weeks later I had a check in my hand for $399 (the excact cost I paid for the AC unit 2 years before minus taxes paid). Really easy process and quick time to receive the check. The only thing to note is that if you make a purchase like that (large electronic or home appliance)...keep that box and packaging. Luckily I had it all and just popped it back into the box for shipment. Not sure how I would have dealt with that if I hadn't saved the box. Thank you Asurion, for delivering on your promise of quick and easy extended warranty payment. I'll defintely purchase the plan again with my replacement AC!
