Op mijn eerste werkdag als aankomend advocaat zie ik, Felice Jansen, eruit zoals Máxima voordat ze getrouwd was; keurig, jong en lekker fris. Om half negen 's ochtends fiets ik over de Amsterdamse grachten. Het kantoorpand van Blick & Bleecker advocaten & notarissen is gigantisch. Mijn stage gaat drie jaar duren, daarna een megasalaris met vette bonussen. Wie doet me wat? Felice komt terecht bij patroon Ria de Roos op de sectie Arbeidsrecht. Ria blijkt een zuurpruim, opgefokt en kwaadaardig. Na een paar maanden is Felice eraan gewend dat ze nooit waardering krijgt. Ze raakt niet meer zo snel in paniek, gaat de beruchte vrijdagmiddag Blickborrel uit de weg, en weet hoe ze zich op zakenreizen heeft te gedragen. Maar de lange kantooruren en extreme werkdruk zijn funest voor haar seksleven. En wanneer de plagerige advocaat Simon steeds meer aandacht aan haar besteedt, gaat Felice grandioos voor de bijl.
