The Butter Machine was developed in collaboration with Michael Landau to create his ideal distortion pedal. We have made countless prototypes, which took more than 2 years in R&D. Having Michael use the prototypes at his sessions and on tour, we were able to hear his direct feedback and aim straight for his ideal driven tone. In addition, new ideas were implemented, and various improvements were made by testing the prototypes at his recording sessions and at his home studio in Los Angeles as well. As a result, we were able to create a new type" of distortion pedal that is user-friendly and wide in range. It allows you to control your picking nuance and dynamics, and the drive goes from overdrive to full-on distortion effortlessly. Michael Landau's comment &story: "In the past I've used an SD9 as my high gain pedal, it was my main distortion pedal for many years, but I've always had a bit of a love-hate relationship with the pedal. It can be shrill and overly compressed if it's not dialed in just right... So a couple of years ago I asked Daiya (CEO of Vemuram) if he could design a distortion pedal that had the positive sonic qualities of the SD9, but without the overly compressed, high-end harshness. We used the SD9 as a starting point but of course this new Vemuram distortion pedal is a higher grade unit with many improvements. Besides the Gain, Volume and Tone knobs, there are two trim pots that let you fine tune this pedal in a unique way. The final version of this new Vemuram distortion pedal has a perfectly open, natural feeling overdrive. It has gain and sustain for days...yet it stays clear, punchy and solid when you roll the volume back on your guitar. It's very easy to dial in the perfect amount of overdrive with this pedal while keeping all of the musicality intact. Vemuram has designed the best distortion pedal that I have ever played through. We named it the "Butter Machine", and if you play through one you'll know why. It's a very satisfying sonic experience." Absolutely great for travel but not enough wattage to charge a macbook without the macbook brick.
So this thing is absolutely amazing for travel. The extension cord is a great length. The usb ports are secure and snug and it really works very well, it's by FAR my favorite adapter to travel with. I do have one nitpick - the photos clearly show it charging a macbook and yes, it can but not with a straight cable you still need to plug in the macbook power brick to it. I was hoping to avoid that but this adapter does not have enough wattage to charge a macbook without the brick. I included two photos showing the difference in wattage between this and an macbook power brick.

Great for use in Italy!
We spent 3 weeks in Italy in May of 2023. This was so easy to use for making sure all of our cell phones and power bricks were fully charged for the next day of discovery while in Italy. Plugged in effortlessly everywhere we stayed in Italy. We used all the charging ports and the USA outlets for two dual voltage power packs (remember the Italian grid is 240VAC not 120VAC like in USA) and my dual voltage CPAP power brick. No problems any where - it worked flawlessly. I would not suggest using it for curling irons or blow dryers or any very high wattage devices and anything you plug into it that does not say dual voltage on the device may be destroyed and possible catch fire! So do be aware of what you use with it as it does not drop the voltage to 120VAC from the 240VAC Italian wall outlets. Nice feature is that it comes with an adapter you can use when you get back to USA so you can use it at home till you pack your bags for the next trip!

Worked as expected, lots of USB ports.
Just used on my trip to Paris, worked well and I liked having so many USB ports. The long cord was great because my hotel was rather vintage and the outlets weren't in convenient places. Glad to see it will also work for my next trip. I appreciated that it came with adapters for the US also so I could test it at home before I left.

Perfect for travel!
These "extension cord" power adapters were perfect for us during a recent trip to Europe! They come with multiple adapters so that you can use the adapter in several countries. Best of all, one of the adapters is for North America, so we can still use them at home! Each adapter has three 3-prong plug sockets (meaning you can use either 2-prong or 3-prong plugs), one of which is set slightly apart from the other two to accommodate a larger plug. Each has four USB ports, plus one USB-C port. Plus, it has a 5-foot extension cord, so you can reach that one socket that never seems to be where you actually need it to be! That made it perfect to be able to set the adapter on the bedside table and charge all of our devices at once, but still keep our phones close at hand for checking time, setting alarms, etc. With all of that in one little box, we were able to eliminate the bag-full of various adapters we've had to pack for past trips. Definitely recommend these for your travel needs!

What an amazing adapter/outlet!

This adapter/outlet is the best I've used for my travels (Internationally). It stands out in a crowded market with its versatility and convenience. It supports plugs from many countries, including the US, UK, EU, Asia and Africa, making it an ideal companion for travelers.
Please note: that this outlet does not convert voltage (iPhones/Tablets/Gadgets with USB connections are OK).
Design and Build Quality:
