De houtskool heeft een extreem hoge temperatuur. Met meer dan 7000 cal/g aan kookkracht, heeft het twee keer zoveel als briketten. Alle bereidingen op de barbecue zijn klaar in een mum van tijd. Door de hoge temperatuur, brandt het houtskool meer dan 3 uur.
