Samen met - onder anderen - zijn dochters, drummer Jeroen Kleijn en multimuzikant Reyer Zwart nam hij het album met producer Frans Hagenaars op in The New Studio Sound Enterprise te Amsterdam Noord. De rootsy singer-songwriter Philip Kroonenberg is bekend van de weer actieve Freelance Band en Personnel dat hij begon met collega singer-songwriter Ad Vanderveen. Met het emotioneel diepgaande en gelaagde Americana-album Some More Time debuteert de veteraan glorieus op het Excelsior Recordings label.
