De klankschaal is met liefde met de hand vervaardigd uit koper, tin en acht edele metalen (Ag, Ni, Cd, Ru, Pd, Pt, Cr, Mn).

Gehamerde klankschalen
Elke klankschaal wordt volledig met de hand gehamerd in een zorgvuldig proces. Eerst worden de verschillende metalen gesmolten om het juiste mengsel te vormen, vaak bronzen schalen van koper en tin met kleine toevoegingen van andere metalen. Dit gesmolten metaal wordt in mallen gegoten en daarna in schijven van verschillende grootte en dikte gesneden, die de basis vormen.

De schijven worden daarna verwarmd tot roodgloeiend en met geduld en vakmanschap zorgvuldig in komvorm gehamerd. Tijdens het hamerproces is het belangrijk dat het metaal heet blijft om scheuren te voorkomen. Wanneer de grove vorm er is, volgt het nauwkeurige afwerkingsproces. Dan krijgt iedere schaal haar eigen vorm, grootte en klank door opnieuw te verhitting en fijn hamerwerk.

Tot slot worden de schalen van binnen en buiten geschuurd en gepolijst, met soms extra beitelwerk voor de laatste details. Zo ontstaat een uniek ritueelobject waar je aandacht en rust in kunt vinden.

Highly resistant to chew damage. If this one wears out or breaks, I’ll absolutely get another one.
