Victron EasyPlus Compact 12/1600/70-16: Integrated Inverter/Charger with AC Distribution

All-in-One Power Solution for Caravans, Marine, and Off-Grid Systems

The Victron EasyPlus Compact 12/1600/70-16 combines a 1600VA pure sine wave inverter, a 70A adaptive battery charger, a 16A automatic transfer switch, and integrated AC distribution in a single, space-saving enclosure. Designed for those who want a complete energy system without complex component integration, this unit simplifies installation while delivering reliable power for mobile and off-grid applications.

With its compact dimensions (510 x 214 x 110 mm) and lightweight 11.7 kg build, the EasyPlus is ideal for caravan inverter charger setups, marine inverter charger installations, and off-grid inverter charger systems where space is at a premium. The integrated RCD (30 mA/16 A) and four AC output circuit breakers (two 10 A, two 16 A) provide ready-to-use power distribution, eliminating the need for external consumer units.

Seamless Power Transfer and Backup

The high-speed 16A transfer switch ensures uninterrupted power to connected loads during grid or generator outages. With a transfer time of less than 20 milliseconds, sensitive electronics such as computers and medical equipment continue operating without disruption. The main output provides no-break functionality, while a controlled AC output (one 16 A breaker) activates only when shore or generator power is available—perfect for loads like water heaters that should not drain the battery.

Advanced PowerControl and PowerAssist

The EasyPlus features PowerControl to manage limited shore or generator power. By setting a maximum input current via a control panel, the unit automatically adjusts battery charging to prevent overloads. PowerAssist takes this further by supplementing insufficient shore power with battery energy during peak demands, then recharging when loads decrease. This is invaluable for caravan power systems and marine electrical systems where shore power is often limited.

Efficient Battery Charging and Solar Integration

The 70A adaptive charger delivers fast, intelligent charging for house batteries, with a 4A trickle charge for starter batteries. It supports absorption (14.4V), float (13.8V), and storage (13.2V) modes to maximise battery life. The unit integrates seamlessly with solar inverter charger setups, allowing AC power availability even during grid failures when paired with MPPT solar chargers or grid-tie inverters.

Scalable and Configurable

For larger systems, up to six EasyPlus units can operate in parallel for higher output, and three units can be configured for three-phase power. Configuration is straightforward via DIP switches for standalone use, or VE.Bus software for advanced setups. Remote monitoring and control are possible through Victron GX devices and the VRM portal, providing real-time data and remote configuration capabilities.

Key Features

  • 1600VA pure sine wave inverter with 3000W peak power for demanding loads
  • 70A adaptive battery charger with temperature sensor for optimal charging
  • Integrated AC distribution with RCD and four circuit breakers for plug-and-play installation
  • PowerAssist technology supplements shore power with battery energy during peaks
  • Ultra-fast 16A transfer switch (<20 ms) for uninterrupted backup power
  • Compact, lightweight design (510 x 214 x 110 mm, 11.7 kg) for space-constrained installations

Shines a light on the reality of the War in the Pacific
Format: Audiobook
Well-written and it really laid out all of the details of how this battle unfolded. I listed to the audio-book, and it was helpful to have the PDF to see a map. How the soldiers on each side endured the battles in the Pacific Theater is beyond me. Man's inhumanity to man that result in this battle outlined here is depressing, but also the sacrifice of those called on to endure and suffer through that inhumanity is equally inspiring and humbling to those whose lives are so comfortable in comparison.

Good book
Format: Hardcover
If Ww2 interest u at all then u want to read this book. I have read the other books on this subject ( so why read another one?) well what i luv about this book is that because so much time has passed that most all of the people in this book are gone & so much more info has been released about these battles, that the combatants ( especially the higher officers are written about as if they are human (mistakes & warts & all) & not like they were all Bull Halsey type Gods which they were certainly not as in most all the books released within the 1st 30 yrs of the war. This makes for a much different & more interesting story about these battles than even the original books on the subject. You come to understand the where & whyfores better, by knowing the real true strenghts & weakness's & fears that drove these men. Hey they are all the bravest of heroes to me. But the were not perfect, & because of this, mistakes were made, that were really not acknowledged or maybe not even known about in early books on WW2

Great structure
Format: Paperback
I had to get the book for class, so did not exactly get it because I “wanted to.” It was a good read though. I liked the structure of each section. Everything simple enough to understand while also diving a bit deeper.

A must have for every intelligence professional - collector or analyst!
Format: Paperback
An excellent resource for any intelligence collector or analyst. The chapters are written by world-class experts in each discipline with an excellent final chapter on collection management written by Drs. Lowenthal and Clark. Each chapter defines the elements of the particular intelligence discipline, its history and producers, as well as how the INT is managed and explores likely future trends. An extensively researched and documented text that is nonetheless an approachable resource that would make an excellent addition to any intelligence related syllabus.
